Majority of Iraqi Lawmakers Now Reject Occupation

On Tuesday, without note in the U.S. media, more than half of the members of Iraq's parliament rejected the continuing occupation of their country. 144 lawmakers signed onto a legislative petition calling on the United States to set a timetable for withdrawal, according to Nassar Al-Rubaie, a spokesman for the Al Sadr movement, the nationalist Shia group that sponsored the petition.

So... our Congress, their Parliament and the majority of the American and Iraqi people want time-tables for our withdrawl..... why is it not possible?

To be honest, I think they deserve a vacation more than our own government officials, given the horrible sacrafices they have made to be an elected official there....

Tim Russert and John McCain discussed it this morning on Meet the Press (there will be a transcript and you can watch the show in MSNBC website sometime after 10 am.)

So, your insuating that it was just some wacky leftist conspiracy is not valid.  But what IS interesting and worthy, in my opinion of some scrutiny is why DIDN'T the media cover this?  This is a very important story, in terms of several things including the legitmacy of leaving that country ASAP.

I definately have some ideas as to why this wasn't given the coverage it should have received.

WOW. New concept. Have the National Guard troops come home and take care of us, nationally.

Its a sad day, when we don't have enough National Guard troops to go to Kansas and other devistated areas in our own backyard, because they are on the otherside of the world.

The troops at the Guard Base by me on on their 3rd and 4th deployments, its sad. Some of these troops were set to retire, but can't and others have only been home a few weeks and they are told to, "get ready, you're going back, for 15months this time, kiss your newborn children goodbye, when you see them again, they will be walkling and not know who you are."

Without proper management, time objectives and resource cultivation, it is not a war. It’s a bar fight on an international scale.

In a traditional setting, one adversary would attack the other and seek to defeat them. And part of that process is to take the wealth and resources of that country and use it to further a swift defeat, and finance the efforts of war.

War is form of art. And this government, at present, has not a clue of how to paint the canvas.

Does tin foil really work?  lol

Actually pretty darn good one, just make sure it is ungrounded, then hook your antenna up to it and run a ground to the radio ground.  then if that isnt strong enough get a ham radio antenna tuner and hook that up to tune thr foil to the antenna!  LOL
