LA, considering your vast knowledge of the site, I find that very hard to believe.

However, it does bring up an interesting point.  Do you ever shy away because your point has already been made on a board?  As MasterFireMaam noted, do you ever withdraw due to gender of a particular forum?  Another good question, do you ever take your comments off of the public board and contact someone privately, since it is not your area?

Oh yeah, half the time you DON'T see me make a post to a thread, it's because one or more people have already said what I would.  It makes my life easier :)

And yeah, part of why I don't respond to some threads and don't often hang in the mistress forum is that I rarely connect positively with other females.  The ask a sub forum is also mainly female, but they have really juicy good threads a lot of the time and I think I can add a lot.

I never take my comments private unless the person specifically requests it or unless I am sharing something I consider private (very very rare), and I will publicly state that on the thread.

jaunty1 -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 7:54:42 PM)

I read all the sections. If something is posted that I feel I can contribute to, I reply. If not, then I do not. It matters not which section the question is posted in.

Live well

Hey, Jeff.....  Do you think your 'honorary status' might have something to do with the shoe?

Actually, I thought it was my pithy observations.  But it 'is' a pretty avatar, don't you think?

Have to admit....... it is.  Was wondering I might get a pair.  Glad to see the sense of humor is in tact!

MzMia -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 7:59:44 PM)

Cute topic, Lady Impact, LOL.
When I first started posting here, I jumped right in here on the General Topics Board.
I read a lot of the boards daily, but I mainly post on Ask A Mistress and the Off Topic Boards.
I have found most of the topics on Ask A Mistress to be more relevant for ME.
My grumble is I am MORE comfortable with the Mistresses here than anyone else.[sm=whip.gif]
But I enjoy reading all the boards. [;)]

petdave -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 8:19:42 PM)

i seem to spend most of my time in Ask a Mistress and Random Stupidity... which pretty much sums me up [8D] i don't know if i've ever even looked in the Gor or Poly forums, and have only looked in Master/Switch when there was an interesting subject on the forum main page.

MzMia, I just love it when you call Me that!  I definitely have to teach a boy to follow suit!

I know what you mean about being more comfortable on the Ask A Mistress board, since that is My best identification.

soultoshare -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 11:09:01 PM)

i hop all over the place.....i'm still relatively new to the lifestyle, and brand new to being owned, and i have learned all sorts of things on the boards.  Haven't been in the Gor forums, no particular reason why, just haven't strayed there yet.  And there are certain people who post alot that i'll read just to check out what they have to say.

I hang out in casual banter-off topic./polls.

daddysliloneds -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/9/2007 3:55:10 PM)

i post on any forum on any board that i choose; i don't shy away from any of them, and i find that most are accepting of that, except a couple of the people on the gorean boards, and they'll just have to get over that fact because my posts fall within the acceptable usage policy. i have no one territory, as there is no one side to me or only one path that i've either been on and/or interested in pursuing.

cjenny -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/9/2007 4:25:33 PM)

I've posted on every forum excepting Poly & I read all of them indiscriminately. I'm a total word junkie, if it is text of any kind I'm bound to read it eventually. I really like reading so many other POVs here, IMO it is the best part of CM.

Oh yes I shy away from posting a lot, for a lot of different reasons. Gender is a non-reason for me on that point tho. I tend to get really shy if the thread is mostly by the ones that have been here for ages & I always have the newbie feeling inside of me in any social setting. Many times I contact people privately rather than in a forum & usually for sensitivity reasons (theirs or mine lol).

Wait.. I haven't posted in the marketplace area! So just Poly n For Sale stuff hehe.

Neat questions.

I move throughout the forums....I have no home....But I do rend to respond to threads that have been started that day....And it would be refreshing if you motherfuckers would stop resurrecting old threads....There is a rule. It's very simple....Anything that has been left for dead past three days should not be brought back to life just like our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ....Amen.

Ok, I have to laugh at that remark, because I've done it unintentionally.  Somehow, I clicked the mouse and several pages later, I found a thread that I jumped on without noticing the date.  It was then reborn.  *Laughs*

Trampler -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/9/2007 5:52:31 PM)

I Like General, switch, Mistress, and poly. Though have been hanging out in the off topic, Humor and polls forums lately.  Like alot of others I avoid the Gorean, because it definately does not relate to me in any way, Though occasionally I will poke my head in out of pure curiousity.

asubmissiveheart -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/9/2007 8:08:58 PM)

I am not gorean, poly, or gay so I tend to end up in the Ask a Submissive or Ask a Mistress section.
I am not into men, so I rarely post on Ask A Master.

MstrssScarlet -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/11/2007 10:39:12 PM)

I go by the topic, not where it's posted.  Generally something scrolling by will catch my attention and then I'm off.  I jump from one subject to another and then sometimes go back to check on how the previous conversations have evolved.  I do check profiles of people that are posting and once in a while I'll send a personal note to someone.  I may not post to something I've clicked on if I feel whatever I may have added has already been said or I don't really have anything good to add.
