LadyPact -> Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 4:51:44 PM)

I've been wondering about this for the past couple of days or so.  I've noticed that I have a tendancy to stay mostly on the boards that are relative to who I am.  In other words, most of My posts are either on the General Discussion or the Ask A Mistress forum.  It's rare for Me to actually post on a different forum, unless I have a question for that sub-set.  If I have a specific question that would, say, relate to Switches, I'll take My question there, but other than reading the posts within that board, I will usually refrain from commenting.  Not because I don't feel I have the 'right' to post on another forum, but because I don't see Myself within that particular group.

Does anyone else go along this idea of thinking?  If you consider yourself a Master, do you stay primarily on the Ask A Master forum?  If you're not Gorean, do you tend to shy away from that board unless something catches your eye?  Just a curiosity of Mine.

BOUNTYHUNTER -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 4:54:53 PM)

I read threads that is an interest to me so I guess I jump around a bit..bounty

astarri -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 5:04:06 PM)

well i am quite new here so i have picked a few boards that i regularily check (general bdsm and offtopic) For me it is more the sheer size of this community and nor would i want to offend anyone so generally speaking until i know better ill likely stay here  =)

earthycouple -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 5:06:24 PM)

I definately read this and that.  I would never post on the Gor threads since I'm completely stupid to Gor lifestyle.  I will post on sub threads, Mistress, Master and switch threads as I am a Dominant and I believe often times "Master" questions and "Mistress" questions can be answered by either or.  I also consider myself a bottom on occassion and was at one time collared so I can answer sub questions sometimes too.  As far as I'm concerned if you have a working knowledge and can lend that knowledge no matter what your orientation....go for it!

Lashra -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 5:11:57 PM)

I go to General, Mistress, Master, Switch, Submissive/slave, switch if anything is posted there. I don't bother with gor because nothing there interests me and poly isn't something that I have really thought about getting into.

spanklette -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 5:13:49 PM)

I bounce all over the boards, and will answer almost anywhere. I do read the Gor forums, mostly, because we have some Goreans in our real life community that I don't want to disrespect...and, they're cool people so I'd like to know more about their tenets and philosophies...well, not so much that I'd read the books.[8D]

So, really, the only forum that I refrain from posting on is the Gorean forum. Truly, that's mostly out of respect for what they're trying to discuss...I don't wanna jump in the middle and case a ruckus over some sort of protocol issue...it's also because I have nothing of consequence to add over there.

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 5:16:12 PM)

i bounce about the forums however i tend to stay away from Gor (don't understand what it is or the protocols), Poly (not interested) and Switches ...sometimes i read the Mistresses section yet rarely reply.  well i'm needed back on my cruise ship - everyone's invited to join in the fun.

slaveluci -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 5:19:51 PM)

i always read "general," "Ask a sub/slave," "Ask a Master," and "Off Topic" and probably post in them more than any others.  "Random polls," "poly," "health," and "humor" are ones i sometimes read but don't usually post on.  The others i don't read so much unless something interesting to me scrolls by and catches my eye.  Once upon a time, i wandered into gor territory and lost my bearings[image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m28.gif[/image]....i have elected not to return again (as far as posting)...lol....luci

velvetears -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 5:21:53 PM)

i generally stay here, but at the top where they give you a tid bit of whats just been posted if i find it interesting i click on it - it has brought me everywhere - sometimes i leave, usually when i find myself in gor, sometimes the tid bit was interesting but  the topic at large is not interesting so i leave - all depends.

SweetSarijane -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 5:23:04 PM)

I go where threads interest me and will reply if I feel I can add something to the discussion (not counting random stupidity...that's just fun). I don't post in the Gorean forums but do read them once in a while.

mstrjx -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 5:23:50 PM)

I don't post to Gor or Poly, but I contribute to most of the other 'Lifestyle' boards.  (Not much one for 'General', though)

I think Ron and I have been attributed 'honorary Domme' status, perhaps a few others.

gypsygrl -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 5:48:16 PM)

I pretty much stay in my own territory.  I regularly read General BDSM, Ask a Submissive/Slave, Off Topic and Ask a Master.  I usually don't respond to threads in Ask a Master even if I have a thought on the topic.

When I start threads I usually do so in General Discussion or Ask a Submissive/Slave depending on whether or not I'm more intent on getting Submissive/Slave feedback or general feed back.

LadyPact -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 5:51:18 PM)

I appreciate all of the input.... Keep it coming.

Hey, Jeff.....  Do you think your 'honorary status' might have something to do with the shoe?

denika -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 5:54:36 PM)

I usually read what ever catches my eye, regardless of the specific board, I don't respond to ones that are not appropriate, If someone is asking the opinion of a Master I definatly won't or can't respond since I am not one, but I will still read them if it is intresting discusion.  The only board I have not read is Gorean since it makes absolutly no sense to me.

slaveish -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 6:37:23 PM)

I bounce around, and depending on my mood I answer all. Hm. Except "Ask A Mistress" because I am so not one. I don't post on the Gor Boards often, even though I love Gorean protocol - I am not fooling myself into thinking I am kajira matieral. There are days that I see great questions everywhere but the emotional energy it would take to answer is simply too much, and so I move on to the next thread.

GeekyGirl -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 6:49:05 PM)

I pretty much stay in my own area...I do general, ask a sub, and occasionally ask a master (just to see what they have to say about stuff.) I also do polls and off topic...occasionally health and safety. I generally stay away from switches, poly, ask a mistress, and the gor forum..those things don't really pertain to me or my interests.

CuriousLord -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 6:53:44 PM)

Bounce around, a good bit.  General BDSM and Off Topic are my two big ones, followed by Ask a Master, then Humor, them Ask a Submissive (is that the name?), then Ask a Mistress.

MasterFireMaam -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 7:12:51 PM)

I'm much more apt to post in the Master forum than the Mistress forum. But then, for the most part, I'm more comfortable around men than women.

AquaticSub -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 7:24:45 PM)

Yes and no. I hang out in the sub/slave, master and general forums because those are the ones that are most directly related to me and mine (I'm a sub and Valyraen is clearly not a mistress [:D]). Sometimes I go into the mistress, switch and health forums. I tend to view it as the questions are directed at a certain group but that doesn't prevent another group from having a good point, good advice or good information about any subject. Since one can never tell where a useful tidbit of information will come from, I see it as being helpful to both provide insight where I can and to read the insights of others when I post questions, regardless of who answered on what forum.

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: Do you stay in your own territory? (5/8/2007 7:40:22 PM)

I rarely hang out in Ask a Mistress or the Gorean forums.  Otherwise I'll roam around.  I go wherever I feel I have something to add that is most relevant.  Mistress forums are usually too populated by dorky male subs, and the mistresses there always get to what I would say before I do so I don't have much to add :)

OK fine *grumble* I am more comfy with males than females too.
