with respect, how do i learn to "let go" and respond to discipline emotionally and physically like a child with tears and raw emotional contrition without discipline turning into true abuse? any direction to web groups or sites appreciated. it has taken me a while but i have accepted the fact that i am a boy and not a man in need of ongoing correction and control.
thank you

Letting go is a matter of trust. You don't learn it so much as it evolves with the right partner.... If someone's abusive, it stands to reason you're not gonna trust them too much and it will greatly restrict how far you can go together....

But being submissive doesn't mean you're an immature boy - your profile says you're 38yo! Maybe you mean you're new to BDSM and it's showing in your choice of terminology.... In a word, the difference between discipline and abuse is "consent". And most submissives do what they do out of strength - they're mature adults who choose who they submit to....

I'm a sub and I know what you mean- for me, I have two personalities- my sub and my "real" personality. When I slip into my sub personality, I whine, cry, suffer- but I can always just switch out if I need to. That way I can really seperate what's real from what's play.
