Hi, folks.  I'm new around here and new to BDSM in practice in general - I knew I was interested a long time ago, but didn't have much luck finding someone to explore with until my present wonderful partner.  I'm a novice sub, he's an experienced Dom.  Currently we're working through some issues as to how to get back to playing while working around his severe degenerative disc disease and chronic pain - not at all easy, but we're very determined and very good at talking openly, and I'm sure we'll figure it out one way or another! (Adapting from sensation play to more role-play/power play kinds of games, making sure that even when I'm restrained I can get loose if I need to, maybe finding someone else compatible who'd be interested... we'll see what happens.)

Hey, I need new material and inspiration so I can get back to writing short erotica again.  [;)]

Anything else I could say would be non-BDSM and probably boring, so I'll leave it at that for right now.  This looks like a pretty friendly and open kind of place, and I'm looking forward to making some friends here.

I hope that you have a good time on the boards. I also wish your Dom the best of luck with his back, I hope that he feels the best he can. I just love role play so I hope you guys are having a lot of fun with it.

Hello.  I hope you find many, many new and wonderful ways to play.  And just between you and I, I would think the introduction would be the best place to put all the 'boring' stuff.

[:D]  I suppose the key parts of the boring stuff would be:  around my boring standard clerical-type job, I'm currently trying to sell a novel (dark urban fantasy) and working on another, as well as the shorter stuff on my website. I do this while spoiling a trio of feline fiends.  I don't do TV much, but I read voraciously and rather omnivorously.  I haven't been in an RPG, tabletop or live-action, for a while now, but I do enjoy AD&D and White Wolf with a decent group.

Hm, I must be a nerd or something. [sm=smile.gif]  But I do like making friends.

nerds = smart people, smart people = BDSM, thus BDSM = nerds.  The gamer quotient is quite high here on CM, more than the general population ratio-wise.

Sean and I had a (rather silly) laugh last night picturing an AD&D game comprised all of kinky folks in a friendly environment (and I do mean the kind of game that doesn't take itself too seriously).  Lots of leather and chainmail... preferred weapons leaning towards whips and flails and the like... arguments as to how to restrain a prisoner to prevent escape, or how much damage a given whip/flail/handy flexible thin tree branch can really do... [:D]

That's cool, that there are lots of gamers around.  Between that and a thread about insane cats (which I definitely have)... hm, obviously I've found home!
