Submissive men I sure are submissive for various reasons just like submissive women.  To agree with an earlier port to argue that all submissive men are damaged logically infers that all dominant women are damaged as weel becasue they are not following their true evolutionary path....it's all BS.  Some people choose to be what they are, some feel what they are, some are damaged, some are forced, and some are only what they are at certain times.  To try to narrow down why a person is submissive or dominant to a single simplified reason is ridiculous.  Personally I don't understand why other guys are subs exactly.  I can't identify with whatever feeling they are having to make them want it.  We are who we are for a variety of reasons.

Interesting premise. Could it then be proposed that domination would come to the individual with the "greater testosterone", so that it would then be natural for a woman with abnormally high T levels to dominate a man with abnormally low levels?

Sounds like somebody is taking this a little personally.

Also reminds me of the kind of statements that religious fanatics make about homosexuality and the like.

The testosterone argument still has one huge flaw.  When you start playing with the levels of testosterone you change the physical traits of the person not just the mental.  If you increase the testosterone you gain more masculine physical traits.  If you decrease the testosterone you gain more feminine traits. A woman with high testosterone will look quite manly....seeing as how there are many gorgeous and feminine mistresses it doesn't fit.  There are very rare cases where a woman some undecended testicuar tissue that produces testosterone and her female organs up the estrogen to compensate.  This causes a sort of hyper feminine appearance.  Also there do not appear to be many sub men with girlish looks...so low testosterone doesn't really make sense either.

My thoughts on this one. In the 'controlled' world of BDSM where it is very common for a male with a dominant personality to seek out and play on his inner fantasies of submission, a sort of power exchange if you like, it is the 'sub' who can understand this need to give up his power to the dominant female who can hold this power with trust. Perhaps confusing the natural path of men with the BDSM scene is an inadequate comparison. If anything i would say in the realm of role play it is 'sometimes' the dominant master who feels somewhat inadequate in general life and therefore plays out his inner fantasies with submissives, to say either are broken would be a very foolish statement as we are choosing a path to go on.

Thank you everyone for your responses.  The original quote came hard on the heels of this:

So yes it is coming from someone who views female domination over males as an unhealthy abnormality. 
 
Petdave ... yes this person holds the view that man has an obligation to dominate woman, it is his right of birth and any man who doesn't wish to dominate women are in themselves lesser men.
