CuriousLord -> Online Comics (5/2/2007 7:14:44 PM)

These things have replaced TV for me.  Half because I can't really get cable in my dorm, but that's only a minor detail!  Anyhow, these are some of my favorite comics.  I'm missing a couple of links, but ah wells.

Anyone else read these things or have any others that they like?

Note:  In semi-alphabetical order as opposed to order of perference.
Note:  Most comics link to their most recent page.  I suggest new readers go back to the first for most.

A Girl and Her Fed
-A political-humor-ish comic.  Four frames per, updated five times a week.
Ctrl-Alt-Del
-Follows two video game dorks and their respective friends, coworkers, and partners.  A popular comic.
Dungeons & Dorks
-D&D based comic.  A bit disorganized, but not bad.
Dungeon Crawl Inc.
-Generic RPG-based comic.  Very slow to update lately.
EarthBound
-Sort of an alright comic.  Mostly about demons so far.  Small and infrequently updated.
Elijah and Azuu
-Angel (Elijah) and demon (Azuu) live together as sort of an odd couple.
Flipside
-Lesbian lovers on an adventure!
Order of the Stick -and- Erfworld
-Site hosts both of these comics.  I'm a strong fan of both.  Both story-based comics relating to RPG's (OotS is D&D based, Erfworld is based off a fictional RPG.)
Goblins
-D&D-based comic considering the D&D world from a goblin's point of view.
Girl Genius
-Another personal favorite and a very popular comic.
Legendary
-RPG satire.
Line Item Vito
-Animated strips of political humor!
Gone with the Blastwave
-Red vs. Blue-esque humor in a warzone of a what used to be a city.
Looking for Group
-A new comic, but updating twice a week.  World of Warcraft-based.  A very good one.
Misfile
-An angel misplaces a file containing data on the history of a couple of highschool-aged kids.  Now, these two are stuck with the angel, his angelic brother, and the angel's demon of an ex, trying to keep a clean nose to get the error fixed.
Multiplex
-Movie humor!
No Need for Bushido
-Fuedal Japan stuff.  Good story line and art.  Doesn't update much anymore.
No Rest for the Wicked
-Surreal sort of world.  Infrequent updates these days.
8-Bit Theater
-A very, very popular comic.  Started off a lot of ideas.  A "sprite" following four D&D characters.
Post-Nuke
-A decent comic.  Sort of dark and morbid, following a man and his dog through a post-apoctolyptic world.
Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal
-A very popular comic.  Unlike most, it's a single-comic-stands-alone sort of deal.  Most strike me as rude, in the more British sense, but, hey, a lot of people like it.
The Noob
-A comic based on Ohforf's adventures through ClicheQuest!
Slightly Damned
-A colorfully animated comic in a somewhat-fantascy world with demons and angels and more!
WTF Comics
-Another personal favorite.   A great comic following a girl, Anna, and a growing group of her friends in an EverQuest setting.

Order of the Stick is my favourite webcomic.  I followed Looking for Group and 8-bit theatre for a while, but haven't lately.  Girl Genius is my second favourite, and I love the What's New with Phil & Dixie strips they post on Sundays.  I never went back to No Rest for the Wicked after the hiatus.   However, you did forget a couple.  Dorktower is my third favourite webcomic.

Go for the links!  I read all of the ones above each day, often several times.  I often feel that these are enough reading material to keep me sane for a while.  The more decent ones on the list, the better!

paxtramp -> RE: Online Comics (5/2/2007 10:53:31 PM)

Noooooooooooo!  Not *more* comics to read.  Sooooo tempting..... should be writing my paper....no clicky.

Damn you CuriousLord, Damn you to hell ;)

..you're.. having trouble.. refraining from reading numerous random online comics while you should be writing a paper..?
I feel a sudden empathetic bond!

CuriousLord -> RE: Online Comics (5/2/2007 11:08:34 PM)

Actually, I'll help you.

DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS.
No matter how badly you want to..
No matter how much it may taunt you, teasing at your soul, being this one perfect oppurtunity to say something witty..
Don't respond..

And don't think of the clicking goodness of comics..
(PS- Lots of good art of  scantilied-clothed lesbians in Flipside.  Just so you definately know to avoid it.)
