This makes our DC Madam scandal look like kid's stuff!

Ahmadinejad under fire for embracing his old teacher May 2, 2007

TEHRAN -- Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stood accused of "indecency" Wednesday after he publicly embraced and kissed on the hand an elderly woman who used to be his schoolteacher.

At a ceremony Tuesday ahead of Iranian teachers' day, Ahmadinejad was photographed and filmed by state media stooping to kiss the woman's hand and then clasping her arms in an embrace.

"The Muslim Iranian people have no recollection of such acts contrary to Sharia law during Islamic rule," since the 1979 revolution, seethed the ultraconservative Hezbollah newspaper on its front page.

"This type of indecency progressively has grave consequences, like violating religious and sacred values," added the paper, which has no link to the Lebanese militant group of the same name.

The elderly woman, who was not named, wore thick gloves along with a headscarf and long black coat, meaning that Ahmadinejad avoided any skin contact.

However, his action raised eyebrows. According to Sharia law, it is forbidden for a man to have any physical contact with a woman to whom he is not related."

this region of the world the men have very strict code oof conduct between the sexes. i knew a couple that came to america... he was so sure she was cheating on him.

i knew another lady who attened school here. i think it really messed her up. she seen how western woman live- they can drive- and dress for confort. i know the kitchen appliances confused her. im thinking- ok- she is scheduled to return to her homeland. how will she fair.
BTW= i wish i could find the recipe she gave me. "pakistani chicken" i recall the bay leaves were in it. anyone i coooked it for loved it.

Pervert scum like this should be hanged publicly by being raised slowly off the ground by a crane, according to Sharia law.

I'm sure that even if Sharia is centuries old, then it must make reference to diesel powered hydraulic crane systems for this purpose, since this is how homosexuals and promiscuous women are dealt with - those who permit a man to kiss their hand and to embrace them for instance.

General reply -

I am very saddened to see Iran returning to Sharia law. Many of their people are more modernized and
relaxed in their clothing, hair styles and social behavior. The extremists in their society are forcing their
views on all the rest.

And I cannot help but contrast how the greeting between President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his
previous school teacher would be viewed by Latino culture, where it is customary to embrace and kiss
on the cheek in greeting. It seems so sad to me that a gesture of affection is viewed as something
"sinful and wrong".
