My end state, and where i like it, is not to have one, i.e being with someone long enough to not need one. The example earlier of "my left arm is numb" should suffice.

This is much clearer and very reasonable in my opinion.
Fox (my slave of over 7 years) still has a stop word but he does not have a slow word. He hasn't used his stop word in years simply because it has been unncessary. Since we are both abuse survivors however we both strongly believes he needs to keep that stopword because stuff can happen fast that neither of you could expect and we like a fast, quick, unquestioned way to communicate that.
