I can't get a good enough look at the product to figure out if it's something I'm familiar with or not. Can't find any description of the product - that is to say, what the actual implement is or what it is made from. Just text describing the handles. At a guess, the stick itself is something so common, they either don't feel the need to tell you what it is, or else they don't want you to figure out that you can get the same damn thing down at the hardware store for fifty cents - either way, it begs a question about the quality of their product.

I know how its made and it would cost you more than fifty cents to make it and the stick material is not one that would be found at a hardware store.  There have been other vendors popping up that have literally tried to copy the design of the evil stick (there was another leather/bdsm vendor that also called it evil sticks!) so I suspect thats why they won't say what the sticks are made out of (and certainly thats why I'm not going to say).

And if you went to their main page there is contact information where if you have actual questions on the construction you could (god forbid!) actually contact them.  I know, I know its a hard hard thing to do.. almost impossible.

Now why do people do this? Evil sticks are a piece of rounded metal with a handle at the end of it. Like Lee Iacocca once said, if you can find a better evil stick [car], but it. But he didn't trash the other folks' cars. They are not swung hard or anything like that. To use an evil stick, simply lay across an area of skin and flick the end...that's it that's all.

But hey....with everyone already giving first hand testimony as to how great, painful, owie, omg that fucking hurts it is...guess it doesn't hurt to have someone express their doubts from a picture they say they can't see well enough make a judgment, so it must be not so good.

My Sir has worked with the material they are made of in his job. I can't remember what he told me the material was. I do remember him telling me you need to coat it with something like polyurethane as it releases a microscopic fiber that is harmful if inhaled. That being said I love them and the welts they leave last forever on me.

Now by request.

The Evilstick is a Poly Carbon rod with a hand braided/beaded handle. We hold the rights to the name and safety coating the stick is coated in.

These little sticks can give a simple kiss (a small red mark) to a deep bruising/welting mark.
They are also conductive for violet wand use.

I have given class all over on this little stick as well as with our other rep sold them all over.

If I can help with any questions just drop me a line here on collarme or aol.

~Fast Reply~

It's official, i'm gonna have to buy one......in every color.

After reading the discriptions of how it feels, and the kind of marks it leaves......i'm done for.

Good thing they're inexpensive......

Speaking of Bamboo.. a friend of mine and I used to dual with Bamboo practice swords.  They can leave nice welts on the body.  I've been thinking about incorperating one into to BDSM toy box lately just for the Hell of it.

Something else evil to use!

My bamboo cane is one of my favorite current toys i have. It's a great investment, i definitely reccommend it.

Love them. An often ignored way to use them, in addition to like a mini-cane, is to press the tip directly into the nipple and then twist.  They can cause SO much pain with so little effort, it's brilliant.

I don't know how familiar you are w/ bamboo, but if it is just dried, it is likely to split when hitting someone with it. If you don't know about the split, then on the strike it can open and pinch skin and do some unintentional damage when the bamboo is pulled back from the skin. I have a piece of bamboo that I left in a cup of oil for a few months as it "dried"...and then I took it out of the oil and it doesn't split like that, although I have lost lengths of it at the joints during intense scenes. It's much shorter now than it was when I started.

Lots of people say don't use bamboo canes - I'm all for using bamboo canes just be aware of how they can crack and split before you use them!

As for the evil sticks, a local vendor makes a similar product with a different name, and M has one with a ball on the end. I don't recall if he has the one that is just plain or not. They ARE evil, and a lovely lazy dom/me toy - maximum reaction for minimal effort. Not my favorite toy as a bottom because they are almost always more pain than I can handle.

Glad to see you post on this KindHeart...

They are not a metal rod as one person said
They are not a fiberglass rod that will splinter

What they are is nasty little stinging muthafuker that will have you snapping plenty of curious minded as they try to figure out what it feels like as it goes through its stages of sting.

At first it almost feels like an electric shock & then it feels like fire. It goes from intense heat & mellows but it also feels like an insect sting & often itchy-burn sensation.

I love it because I can spell out letters & make cute designs such as kitty cat whiskers.

Depending on how hard you allow it to hit is where you get various sensations & amount of damage. I've actually broke the skin with it or drawn bloody blisters to the surface.

I know many people have commented that their bottom doesn't mark easily & every time I find a thread that mentions they are looking for suggestion on what to use to create marks.. this is the item I suggest. Well, that & rubber toys. I wish the vendor that created the truck tire paddles was still around. Those things are vicious.

I've snapped myself with it a bunch of times... sometimes I did it just so the person I planned to snap with it would relax a bit... I just don't tell them that I have an extremely high tolerance to pain.... muwahahaha

((ain't that the perfect example of sadomasochistic? I'll endure some pain just so I can cause it.))

sorry... metal-ish.

Other than that, what I recognize is wood, metal, clear stuff, pointy stuff, ouchy stuff and just stuff.

A metalish looking stuff by any other name, to me is still metal(ish)

Poly-carbon, to me, is something my daughter's glasses are made of and since I can't see through it, I'd never have guessed "poly-carbon."

Besides, being on the receiving end of this, I'm not at all sure I could say "wow...I can really tell the difference betwee that poly carbon and this metal...if it ain't plastic, it ain't wood, and it IS dark and metally looking...to me, it's a metal.

Even if it's not.

I think the original "Evil Stick" is a good toy. Evil Sticks have some parallels to bamboo skewers, when you draw back the tip and allow it to snap back to hit the skin, but unlike skewers they don't break easily, and they are more flexible. Unlike skewers, they are also not disposable, but they do clean up well. You can also use them as ultra-light, flexible canes. But while I think the Evil Stick is fun, I like the "Evil Cane" particularly well. It's a good length for OTK and other intimately positioned impact, but it's long enough to use with standard caning. The material offers a dense and narrow sensation without much surface sting, which is something rather hard to do in canes. I'm told that it's conductive, although I haven't yet tried using it that way.

Ok, kindheart has given away what they are made of...I will tell a little more or the story. Before there were evil sticks, there were bamboo skewers and it was in memory of  a session with a bamboo skewer, yes the very kind that you use for shishkebob, that the Dominance Loving Leather folk decided to create the evil stick.

There is a lesson here folks, as the people you scene with will live on long after you part, try to make their memories of you fond ones. The scene is a ridiculously small place, and tales will be told.

There have been metal imitators, but they don't flick the same way and seem more likely to do harm.

It is easy to make an imtiation, you can just dip the end of a polycarbonate rod, in plastidip the way canes are made that sell at the flea for upwards of thirty dollars. But if you have ever seen a real one you will recognize the difference in craftmanship. Lethersubby crafts each one by hand to be a minature of a flogger handle Turks heads and all. It is a hit every Boston flea since it's inception and has had many evolutionary changes to improve the look and durability. Honestly, at the price point they sell it at it is so labor intensive that there just isn't much profit margin. So they are found in a limited market. Since they are my buddies, I own at least one of the many variations, most made for me custom with the same colors I have on my flogger handles. I may have been the first to prove they can be used with a violet wand. They are just cool. If you can get one, get one, They make great souvenirs and party favours... and no. while I have been in business with them in the past I do not get a cut.
