Jevousadore -> RE: Percentage of people... (4/22/2007 11:50:49 PM)

Hello, Pontifier...... I think that even if one could find some studies and percentages somewhere, it would still be hard to get an even-somewhat accurate idea. I believe that there are many who would not want to admit to this side of themselves. From my own personal experience, I have only met 3 people into D/s, etc., outside of some sort of BDSM meeting or site. My husband, my sister, and a female friend. I have always found this surprising. I work in emergency personnel, a job that tends to make co-workers closer than the norm. We also tend to be a bit twisted. As a result, we share things that would make the general public blush and know intimate details about each of our lives. I have yet to meet or "out" anyone with my proclivities. In fact, my friends lovingly call me a "pervert" over what, to me, is quite tame. Bring up spanking, for example, and the men say "She's my wife! Besides, she would kill me!", and the women say "I would kill him!". Yet for many of the same cheating on their significant other is normal, while it is an alien concept to me. jevousadore
