Given the importance of the Internet today, and the prescience Gore had shown at the time in providing support for the emerging infrastructure, I, as an IT professional always feel a duty to correct the record in this case. Granted, I do tend to somewhat overreact to that old jibe. I would apologize to anyone offended.
