Status: offline 		I'm supposed to go on a date next week....my doctor has been hustling me to go out with his head nurse for about 4 months....she gave me her number (don't ask me how....it was really fucking odd), and now I have to remember to call her next week to ask her out (we already agreed to go out...it's just the date in question).

I hate dating.  Dating sucks.  GAWWWWD I hate this SHIT!

Status: offline 		I'm a nurse and I don't think that going out socially with a "patient" or someone whose medical record I have access to is ethical. I wouldn't do it. I am surprised that the MD is the one actually trying to faciliate this. If things don't work out, you may have to change doctors. It might make things awkward. In my opinion, I would suggest you try to find women to date elsewhere other than your MD's office. Besides that, are you going to be comfortable with your own doctor and potentially other staff members finding out that you are "in the lifestyle" if this relationship gets to that point? What if she gets mad or things don't work out and she decides to tell EVERYONE? Just something to think about if you aren't wanting to be "outed" like that.

On another note, you're 48-years-old and need to be REMINDED to call someone and ask them for a date. That sounds a bit "socially retarded" to me sorry to say.

I fail to see where access to one's medical records and a breech of ethics come into play if he dates this nurse. While it might create an uncomfortable issue if things do not work out I doubt that it is medically unethical.

Status: offline 		      Here's the question, Gris.  Does your Dr know what you're into?  You indicated it's a female Dr.  Think carefully before answering, could she have seen evidence of play during an exam?  Any interesting comments from her that indicate she might have picked up on something from behaviors when she told to turn your head and cough?  She might be trying to do you a favor here.

      Call the lady.  Dress nicely and take her for a good seafood dinner.  See if she wants oysters.

I don't usually ask...I order the oysters (in halfshell) and when they arrive, ask him to give me his hand.  I slide an oyster from the shell into his upturned palm; what he does with it pretty much determines if I'm likely to be interested or not.
