Did you think that black lady was bumped off? The Jewish guy's mistress-I don't recall his name.

I could have done without the shitting in the shower deal.

Weird that the black girl died.  Is that going to be just another one of the show's ten million untied loose ends?

Oh, and the old guy's name is Hesh.

Here too ( the Youngstown area ). Mafia influence is kind of taken for granted around here. They're not nearly so big as they were, but they're still around and very accessible.

They have their fingers in gambling, oriental "health spas", strip joints.

Heck our Congressman was Jim Trafficant.. familiar with that fiasco? lol

Well Beam Me Up Scotty!!!

That was the dude the Democrats broomed wasn't it? They got rid of their own guy. He kept embarrassing them with stuff like the "Beam me up Scotty" and all those little corruptions(Doesn't seem any different then the other crooks up there, just less polished, but a turd is still a turd even when it is polished.

I drove through Bainbridge, Ohio. They have a presence there, not the mob, the Amish. It was definitely an Amish Paradise like the Weird Al song.

Very nice scenery and I want to visit the real Amish town nearby and try their bakery since I can't afford their furniture right now.

Boy I don't like that "Christopher", he gets drunk and shoots a guy in AA with him!
And the scenes with "Anthony" Jr, crying about his ex g/f! They should have left those out.
I left the tv on and watched that POS show "Entourage" for about 6 minutes before becomming naucious!
They can shitcan that looser show anytime!

I knew when Christopher went over to that writer guy's house, it was to give him a beating or something. He always beats that guy, but this time he killed him.

Anthony Jr. always was a bit on the wimpy side. All the crying didn't help his image.

I was hoping either Chris or Paulie would get wacked.

Ummmm...the scene at the writer's house was ridiculous.  These guys don't shoot civilians just because they're upset.  (They wouldn't think twice before shooting a civilian if they thought they had to, but they don't do it just because they're upset.  It's bad for business, as Tony might say...)

I kinda liked the scenes with AJ crying--they seemed true to his character.  So was the scene where he was helping the college bookies torture the poor muffucker who couldn't pay his gambling bill.  AJ always swings between candy-ass and sadistic asshole.

And that girl Blanca is HOT.  The actress's name is Dania Ramirez, and she's from the real Soprano-land.  She graduated from Montclair State University.

I was so disappointed in the way the writers wacked Christopher. I've been wanting him to get shot or beat to death for years. Tony was pretty happy afterwards-he broke his bad luck streak! If I was doing a woman that looked like that brunette he was with, you'd have to surgically remove my smile-I'd never frown again!

Yeah, "wacked" in a roll over accident? Tony finally got him though!
I never likd that punk anyway.
Drugs are what killed him.
Tony couldn't "depend" on him because he was a druggy!

Oh, and the old guy's name is Hesh.

The Sopranos likes to explore the clash of values theme. In that episode, Hesh was upset about the money he lent to Tony, but he was more upset about losing his beloved.

As for Christopher's exit from the show, killing him off was about the only way to end his brewing conflict with the crew and the shit he must have created in killing his writer friend. Rather than wrap all that up, which would have been difficult, they offed him.

Tony made a sound mob decision, IMO. He took action on Chrissy whereas he only had ideations of killing Paulie on the boat.

Oddly, the soiciopathic attitude which makes a mobster, also undoes him. In Christopher's case, had his first impulse been to ask if Tony was alright instead of begging Tony to claim the wheel, the outcome might have been totally different.

General Question:

TV critic Heather Havilevsky writes:

>The episode takes an odd turn when, instead of taking his anger out on someone close to him, Tony flies to Vegas to get some peace. We see him eating dinner alone, sitting by a pool. Finally, he looks up a hooker who slept with Christopher, then tells her Christopher is dead. The two end up sleeping together (no surprise there) and then talking honestly. They smoke a joint, and suddenly it seems that Tony may be trying to crawl inside of Christopher's experiences. He asks the girl about the time she took peyote with Christopher, and then she and Tony take the drug together and hit the casinos, looking dazed. Instead of losing all of his money as you'd expect, Tony goes on a huge winning streak, then falls down on the floor, suddenly struck that Christopher is dead and gone and he can't even feel happy over his good fortune. Will Tony ever feel happy again?<

Maybe I missed something, but I took Tony's gambling reaction differently, which is that with the albatross gone from around his neck (Christopher), his life was going to turn around and his luck had.

Did I miss something? What's your take?

i agree with you...especially if you think back on that episode when Chris was first made and took his oath, and he saw that crow, and assumed it was an omen of bad luck...
