Iraq actually stopped accepting the US Dollar for oil, and began accepting the Euro instead. In my opinion, that is the true primary reason why the US waged war upon her.

It's possible the Iraq intended to compound the damage by adding billions of US cash into the monetary system.

In any event, Iran stopped accepting the US Dollar for oil back in March of 2006. My guess is that come hell or high water... the US will find a reason to wage war upon her.
