Okay.  So, I have recently discovered that I am surprisingly productive in, of all places, a strip club.

I go in, order a beer, sit at a table, and write.  I turn down dances, and just gather ideas.

How strange/creepy/hot is that?

not really that creepy, I do the same if i'm in the local watering hole, I think its the leather chairs and the glow of the bottles.

       I used to do a lot of my homework in a strip bar in Portland.  I'd grab a booth, get a small pitcher of beer, the music was right the view was great and I'd clear out before they got busy in the late afternoon.

If I go out by myself I always go after 12 or 1, no people, better convo, easiar to get some ideas down on paper...music sucks though, since they use sat radio they only keep it on one channel, that top hits shit....ugh...

Kinda....  I could charge it back, but I doubt I could sleep at night!

Sometimes, I will have some chicken wings, a couple of vodka tonics in the early afternoon when it is happy hour, and do some math problems at a local sports bar.

I watched a show about Ireland on the Food Network and there was an interesting piece about the Irish pubs, that it is a great meeting place for politicians and poets. 

So, Benji, it is not far fetched to go to a strip bar with its atmosphere and perhaps this can provide you some inspiration to your writing...or making some great friends!
