I see more profiles, nicks, and pictures relating to the other pussy when it comes to women and bdsm that I just need to know.

Is it a matter of cat people being more into the wonderful world of kink? Is is a metaphor for the sexual pussy? What is it. I have to know. Please. It's driving me nuts.

I meow and I purr and I streach like a kitty and all those cat like behaviors in real life I can pychically manage to do. including grooming my Daddy dom with my toung

Status: offline 		"Kitty girls" are common outside the bdsm culture as well...I watch a lot of japanese hentai and animation and "animimorphs" are just considered sexy and taboo for some reason. You'll also find plenty of "bunny girls" and "doggy girls." I can't really explain my full belief behind the reason why without a possible TOS violation, so I'll just say it's the taboo factor in my opinion.

And of course, pets in general are seen as submissive creatures, so role playing as one adds a certain extra submissiveness to a scene.

Status: offline 		Maybe it is that some see cats as being sensual, very tactile, nimble, sleek, feral, exciting, dangerous, etc., and identify with some/many of those traits. 
 
Some cats are fairly independent, want, love attention - but generally on their own terms. While others want to curl up in your lap, absorb your warmth, be petted and feel safe.
 
I am guessing there is more to it than that, of course. This is just a bit of what came to mind as I read your thread topic. *smile*

Not just women, either. I've been an alpha male personality from childhood onward, and very much an "on my terms" sort of person. I've always identified with felines for precisely those reasons... when a cat doesn't want to do something, you've got an icicle's chance in hell of makin' the cat do it. Besides, cats are graceful, mysterious, aloof creatures who only admit they're happy to see you when they're really happy to see you (or hungry). Contrast this to my parents' dog, whom we had to train out of peeing all over herself every time someone came to the door (bit of an exaggeration, but not by that far). I'm very much a cat person, I've got my little "pride" of friends, and I've actually got two rodents that hypnotize the cats I share the house with.

What's the connection? No idea...

Status: offline 		regular typical feline domesticas are one of the few animals on earth other than man who kill just for fun.  Other animals kill for food, or to protect their territory or at least for a reason. since we got the doggy dog my cat has taken to not only killing but bringing me his prizes....nothing starts a morning right like a slimy baby mouse, bird head, or even whole bird ......

i know subs who relate to cats because of the cute cuddly thing (kittens), and Dom/Dommes who relate to the more vicious jungle cats like jaguars and panthers, sleek and scary. personally i have always been more of the bunny type, you know the one from Monty Python Holy Grail with the great big fangs....

I'm not sure I agree...I think it's about 50/50. I know lots of women who prefer dogs and men who prefer cats. I actually prefer dogs, though I enjoy the company of cats as well.

Status: offline 		Dunno, I love dogs and have always owned them. I have 3 now. But I've had the occasional cat and in fact got a kitten for valentines day from my sub. He is a cat person and owns 2 of them. but he likes my dogs too, he has no choice lol

Status: offline 		I've had a fascination with the black jaguar since I was a child.  I'm also told I purr in my sleep, and sometimes will spontaneously and uncontrollably purr during intense pain scenes.  I've used this nick a lot of places all over the web, mostly when I used to run mailing lists for shamanism groups.  It's definitely *not* a reference to my genitalia.

Status: offline 		I have the theory, unhindered by anything so tedious as actual research, that tops/doms tend toward dogs because they like collaring and training them, etc., while bottoms/subs tend toward cats because devoting oneself to an aloof, sometimes indifferent being comes naturally.
