you know what's interesting...?  I've had more crazy kinky experiences in my travels than I have in NYC.  Don't get me wrong NYC has been good to me, but everytime I am in Miami or SF, something crazy happens whereas that is not the case in NYC.  It must be the tourist charm, just like in the singles scene. :)

I can only think of one city - Krakow in Poland. You can find anything and everything in this city. Seriously. Especially if you get into the Krakow BDSM community.

i would like to put Vancouver/Lower Mainland on the map for one of the best BDSM cities.

Every weekend there is a event Rascals, BIO (sex-positive), Sin City, along with 2 privately owned dungeons that host various themes, Libido Events which hosts sex-positive classes, and a swingers club. There are 5 monthly munches and a 6th added for those months that have 5 weeks.

Dallas Texas has a healthy community.

Things to Consider:

MAsT DFW
ALE
The Bound Rose Society
4th Friday
and a very lovely 7500 sq ft Dungeon Called "The Sanctuary For Lifestyle Arts"

And Every February South Plains Leather Festival, a full weekend Conference of like minded folks.

I think living in central Texas has lots of benefits. San Antonio has some groups for play and socialization, Austin has a TON of stuff from women's only to sub only to Dom only to mixed crew, from leather to swinger to general kink/fetish, Dallas has a lot going for it and so does Houston, plus the College Station/Killeen areas have their own parties and such. If you have weekends free and like to travel, it isn't too much of a drive and you find a tremendous well of resources right within reach.

Now, honestly, having said this, I haven't been involved in the kink scene in any other town, but I do think that the central Texas area has a lot to offer.

In the past I've attended events in Chicago, Washington, Charlotte, Dallas and Denver. While these events were great, I've never lived in those cities so I can't say what the scene is really like.
I'd go back to Dallas or Denver in a flash :)

My best bet is Toronto and surrounding area. There are at least 4 to 5 public play parties per month and at least a couple of munches per week. There is quite a large lifestyle here.

A second vote for London.

We have everything from upbeat fetish clubs to out and out BDSM clubs. We have underground clubs if you know the right people and munches on a daily basis.
You certainly have a choice of clubs every weekend and they go on all night and have after parties too.
