I doubt there is any point in asking if he has a book deal yet, but which cable network will hire him as a commentator?

I particularly liked the closing bit:

"Mr. Dowd, a crucial part of a team that cast Senator John Kerry as a flip-flopper who could not be trusted with national security during wartime, said he had even written but never submitted an op-ed article titled “Kerry Was Right,” arguing that Mr. Kerry, a Massachusetts Democrat and 2004 presidential candidate, was correct in calling last year for a withdrawal from Iraq."

Thanks for help fuck up the country, Dowd. One op-ed piece ain't gonna come close to atoning for your sins you feckless motherfucker.

Alumbrado -> RE: One by one they wake up.... (4/2/2007 7:20:03 AM)

quote:

"...A top strategist for the Texas Democrats who was disappointed by the Bill Clinton years, Mr. Dowd was impressed by the pledge of Mr. Bush, then governor of Texas, to bring a spirit of cooperation to Washington. He switched parties, joined Mr. Bush’s political brain trust and dedicated the next six years to getting him to the Oval Office and keeping him there. In 2004, he was appointed the president’s chief campaign strategist.

Looking back, Mr. Dowd now says his faith in Mr. Bush was misplaced..."

All those years of jockeying to be in the power elite of whichever party was in the White House, and now he has 'come to his senses'?

Yeah, riiiiight.    ...Or left...or right...or [8|]

Mr. Dowd does not seem prepared to put his views to work in 2008. The only candidate who appeals to him, he said, is Senator Barack Obama, Democrat of Illinois, because of what Mr. Dowd called his message of unity. But, he said, “I wouldn’t be surprised if I wasn’t walking around in Africa or South America doing something that was like mission work.”

When I see him doing missionary work I will then believe his motivations for coming forward....So how many of the wounded and the dead to he personally account for?

By stating he "wouldn't be surprised if I wasn't walking around in Africa or South Africa doing something that was like mission work."

I wouldn't be suprpised if he wasn't either...However he might be doing work for an African/American, not missionary work, but posssibly campaigning for Obama and highly paid...Why would anyone higher some one who flip-flops on the issues?...lol...And he apparently has no sense of judgement or the strength to rely on the judgement that he does possess?

I have no problem with people coming forward to show disdain for this administration's lack of competency...But in this case it seems way too calculated.
