Yes, I suppose someone could mistake the intended meaning for the more commonly known.  However, if two people get into a relationship based on an online bdsm checklist and don't bother to fully pursue additional, deeper conversations, then they probably get what they deserve, which may be, at the least, a nice lesson.

I am told both versions are fun, though I wouldn't recommend drinking salt water if you fall in, lol.

Also, does everybody know that, at least on most of the BDSM-related interests, if you click on a word, a 'discription' will pop-up?

For 'Watersports' the discriptor is "Play that involves excretory bodily fluids."

CIA's Harsh Interrogation Techniques Described
http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/Investigation/story?id=1322866

6. Water Boarding: The prisoner is bound to an inclined board, feet raised and head slightly below the feet. Cellophane is wrapped over the prisoner's face and water is poured over him. Unavoidably, the gag reflex kicks in and a terrifying fear of drowning leads to almost instant pleas to bring the treatment to a halt.

Erm... not MY interpretation.

Some people do think watersports is all Rubber Dukies
and whatnot in the bath tub or swimming pool.  Perhaps
a good game of water polo.  Perhaps confused with
water torture even.   Wonder how many people think
sticking a head in the toliet bowl and flushing is really
a true watersport.

I often wonder how many people on CollarMe check off "watersports" as an interest under the recognition of what it really means.
I assume some who are not as experienced to the lifestyle check it off thinking it means things you do on the lake or ocean (i.e. surfing, boating, watersking, etc.).
These people do not think to click the word to obtain an alternative definition.

Just wondering.

(This is not about teens engaged in waterspigot racing....who can have, in a given school hallway, the largest spigot measured in inches?)

When I first started filling out these checklists, if I didn't know what something meant and couldn't find out in a reasonable amount of time, I simply didn't select it as an interest. *shrug*

Also, it's not that hard to find out what a term means. A web search -- heck, one could even use Wikipedia -- is likley to get someone a close definition, especially if they add in the word "kink" or "bdsm."

Now, the guy running around a mall flying colored hankerchiefs out of his back right pocket certainly got an education when Daddy handed him a Wet Spot business card and wrote "hanky code?" on the back.

OR...

From Cms list of 'interests' from which to choose; just CLICK on the word with your mouse pointer and a definition pops up!  What a concept...    (But they don't make that clear here, do they?)
