I have migranes, as well. I just don't let them affect me ... much. It's important to know why you have a migrane. Although there is no clear consensus as to the cause of migranes, there usually are some "triggers". Usually stress. Some people can have them triggered by alcohol, caffine, changes in diet, etc. A good thing to do is keep a "migrane journal", in which you record things like how much you slept, what you ate, what you did during the day. That way, you can identify possible "triggers" and avoid them. Another thing is to identify what type of migrane you have. Mine, for example, are occular, and are caused by reactions in the sympathetic nervous system that contracts the arteries that lead to my brain. The reduccion of oxygen causes the migrane. The logical medication, of course, is beta-blockers. Most migrane medicine (or the ones I have looked at) basicly are concentrated dosises of acetaminophren/paracetamol. There are some other compounds as well. But the best treatment is usually to prevent them from happening. In my case, identifying the triggers has reduced the incidence of migranes drastically.
