sub4hire,

Nope but I know several who have zero experience in real life who have written several books on the scene.  If you ever went out and met anybody you would also know that.

Any chance you have the balls to be specific in your accusations?    There aren't all that many books that are ones that "everyone still recommends" so you are insulting a pretty small group of people.  Pretty cowardly in my opinion.

I have objections to some of the "books everyone still recommends" but I have stated those to the face of the authors when I met them at private parties and events in SF.  Jay and I have conversed about the joys of "organizational masochism" and my copy of his bondage book is so signed.  Midori I have been to intimate classes at QSM as well as smaller private events and was truly surprised by her humility and groundedness.  Dossie as I said, I have employed as a therapist.  While I have never met John Warren, we have traded a few insults but I still respect his book.

Are there charlatans out there?  Sure, but not among what most of us would consider the cannon of bdsm literature.   So again, are you going to have the class and balls to actually state your accusations or just hide behind vague generalities?

Watch The Dog Whisperer. Really!

I absolutely adore the book "Slavecraft"

It is written by a slave, for slaves but Dominants can get a wonderfully insightful glimpse into the workings of a dedicated slave by reading this book.

You may not agree with everything stated in it, but you will walk away with food for thought - always a good thing.

Sub4hire,

I guess you don't mind hurling accusations as long as you can hide behind your various equivocations eh?  And I bet you preach about how bdsm is all about honor and integrity...

Wow - this is awesome - thanks. On vacation at the moment but can't wait to get back online when I am home to learn more.

However, the last time I tried to find out what Greenery had coming out new for 2007 I coudln't even find their website.  I hope nothing has happened to them.

It may have been down for updating because it's still active at http://www.greenerypress.com/

Just finished the third edition of Loving Dominant today.  Should be out in the fall

I think the next wave of truly great BDSM books will come from posters on this board. Shoot, half the people here have already or are writing books on the subject.
