DommeChains -> RE: Foot fetish outrage. (3/28/2007 6:11:34 AM)

I will be brave and boldly state I do wear the "ugly shoes"daily.  After years of positions requiring long standing and due to back issues I have found these shoes to be the one thing that keeps my feet pain free at the end of the day.  I am already living in the land of sandals, thongs, et al worn nearly daily so I opt for comfort and function over glossy appearance.  My new motto is I can still be sexy while being able to walk.  Be warned crocs are taking over the world lol.

(I do sometimes wear my boots to events but I have found 1 style of crocs in black to blend rather well with black pants.)

Like sweats and other elastic-banded pants, flannel pajamas, very short crop-tops, tennis shoes; plastic shoes and certain other garments belong in the privacy of your own home (or garden or athelitic event)...or only on very young children.

Bah!

...but that's just my opinion

Outrage has gripped me once again, when did these things develop into a fetish and why did nobody warn me, I feel sickened to my very core and I will never speak to another foot fetishist for as long as I live. They are the single ugliest thing that’s happened in fashion (if you can call it that) for a long long time. Whatever happened to the good old days of foot slaves liking boots, socks or sweaty feet why do they have to sink to such levels of bad taste depravity in order to slake there desires Boohooohooo who will lick my feet now.

Wow seems you're taking this closed minded view you have of people with a foot fetish and you're using a garden clog to say that's why you find the foot fetish people disgusting.
Did you run into a club where 100's of foot worshipers were running around attracted to people in these clogs  and the clogs were filthy or what?
REALLY STRANGE POST THERE MY FRIEND.
Maybe you should get some counseling for having such negative and abrasive reactions to people who participate in foot fetishes.
I can understand not being into it, but the vicious bodacious post here is something I'd think makes you look a little off center to me.

Mustardseed -> RE: Foot fetish outrage. (3/28/2007 7:14:20 AM)

Recently, on a hunt for comfortable work shoes, I noticed Crocs or something like them in a Birkenstock store.

I now own Danskos and Merrells; mainly because the Birkenstocks that could keep my feet dry weren't actual Birks, and I didn't give the plastic ones that were -- surprise, surprise -- on sale a second glance.

I looked at the website and saw that they had manly ones. If it weren't for the fact that my Daddy needs steel-toed boots for his workplace I'd recommend some of their styles for him: he stands a lot during any given day.

I am a woman who strongly believes in comfortable shoes. I have size 11.5 (US) / 43 (Euro) feet, which makes it tricky to find cute shoes where I live. I never learned to walk in heels, so a feet-in-traditionally-sexy-shoes fetishist would be pretty much lost around me. As I have neither a boat, a garden, a job that requires that I stand nor beachfront property, I feel pretty confident in my Winter purchases.

I do have a pretty kickass pair of boots, though. [;)]

Ermmm it was meant to be amusing you were not meant to take the outrage seriously, I am glad it appears most people seam to have grasped that! Also I like foot fetishists some of my best slaves have been strongly motivated by my unusually curvaceous feet and someone licking my feet makes me happy. I can also see the serious side of why a foot fetishist might like them, they show off peoples toes which means if everyone wore them simply walking down the street would become some sort of an erotic fantasia for them. Having said that it does not stop them from being extremely ugly and they clearly have the words fashion disaster written all over them, I think they will go the same way as the puffball skirt, leg warmers and other fashion fads that we all look upon and mock now.

Bearlee -> RE: Foot fetish outrage. (3/28/2007 8:43:16 AM)

Aawwwwwww, onestanding, I think he was kidding.  He clearly likes people with a foot fetish...but thinks the crocks are a crock.

Sometimes it's hard to 'grock' what people mean here...reading too fast, ill-prepared writing, not being able to hear the lilt in a voice or see the twinkle in an eye.  I'm regularly missunderstood here...far too blunt, me thinks.  AND...I write too fast and don't often re-read HOW it looks.  <sigh>  It's a curse

But I really think you missed the mark here; I'm sure he was all tongue-in-cheek.

Thanks for clearing that up.
You're right that I have this problem that I'm more literal and often miss the funny in sarcasm as I take things people say as real & serious too often.
LOL I do indeed need to lighten up.
I appreciate you'd take the time to point out that you were joking.
In these forums people have said far more strange things and been dead serious about it.
Glad to see you're not the weirdo bent one I'd gathered you must be by your OP.

As for 'they are more comfy than they are ugly' - have you ever seen such a hideous case of lack of insight.
Careful, once you start to think in this way, you find yourself in elasticated waiste bands and flesh coloured underwear and celibate for some reason! You have been warned. lol
little1

I seriously doubt I'll start wearing underwear because of these shoes, but thanks for the warning! [sm=tongue.gif]

dominapain -> RE: Foot fetish outrage. (3/28/2007 11:26:09 AM)

well someone i know said you kink might not be my kink but ill not put your kink down

Caitriona -> RE: Foot fetish outrage. (3/28/2007 11:38:49 AM)

As I have little experience with the foot fetish crowd, I won't comment there.  But I can say for as ugly as those shoes are, they're so comfy!  I started wearing them when I worked in a doctor's office and was on my feet all day...after talking about how great they were, Master bought a pair and now wears them often!  [:D]

SwPuno -> RE: Foot fetish outrage. (3/29/2007 11:01:52 AM)

Thanks to onestandingstill's comments and the reply I understand that there was some kidding involved re the foot fetishists.  I did want to chime in, however, on behalf of the foot fetish party, as it were, and say that those are indeed really ugly shoes and I don't think most foot fetishists would admire them.  In fact (here it comes), we'd much rather see most people go without than having to wear those ugly things.

By the way, the foot fetish party also supports world peace and the adoption of clean, renewable energy technologies. Really.  We had a meeting.

Puno out

P.S. Bearlee, I agree with most of your "in the house" only apparel list, but sneakers?

MistressLucyFurr -> RE: Foot fetish outrage. (3/29/2007 1:25:43 PM)

egads!!! I have seen those things around and mildly wondered about them but had no idea they were this popular. As far as being comfy and stylish, durable and all around  versatile I will stick with my chuckies, thank you................

Oh, Puno...I'm just overly sick of grown-ups who dress like ten-year olds.  I think by 30 or so, adults should be wearing real shoes and shirts.  I'm no fan of every-day wear including those ugly, boat-like tennis shoes or shirts with advertising on 'em.  I mean seriously...

So, before I get trounced, I might wear tennis shoes and t-shirts when painting, cleaning the garage, digging in my garden, or...perhaps working out.  I believe there is a time and a place for everything...and for the most part sneakers are for sports.

But that's just me,
bear

Vendaval -> RE: Foot fetish outrage. (3/29/2007 6:32:57 PM)

So long as we can all avoid the sight of older men wearing
Hawaiian shirts, bright plaid golf shorts, a khaki fanny pack,
black knee high socks and white athletic shoes!  [:D]

Lorelei115 -> RE: Foot fetish outrage. (3/29/2007 8:05:36 PM)

You know, I read an article somewhere about Crocs getting sucked into escalators when people were standing on them. So, yeah. They're possibly ugly AND dangerous.

Comfy as hell, but give me my euro clogs any day.
