i'm regularly surprised now that i have a "who's viewing me" button. i like it (although i think i freak other people out sometimes because i often read profiles just to read them and don't necessarily send messages). it shocks me because of the number of people who send me messages and haven't even viewed my profile -at all-. just thought i'd mention this...i always assumed before that the majority of messages i got were from people who'd at least viewed my profile, if not read the entire thing (well, that's obvious from the number of off-the-wall messages i get). anyone else notice this phenomenon?

Have no opinion on the post but I frequently view profiles if someone says something that perks up my interest, whether I agree or not or if I like the pic. that accompanies the post.

I like your pic. so I am going to view your profile. NOW.
Back from viewing and all I can say is ....bloodie 'ell, who's going to read that lot !

Anyone who has sent me a message in the past two weeks has not shown up on the "Who's Viewing Me" list. Conversely... there are fifty-four people who have looked at the full profile and haven't said a word.

I very rarely ever get a collarme email, when I do- they are usualy first thing in the morning when I sign on here. I dont for a second think any of them read my profile they just see my name  that says I'm on now. They be looking for some early morning fun perhaps.

I check profiles pretty often- If I read a post by some one and I am curious to see more about them I check the profile that is basicly the only reason.
I see my "who's veiwing me"  list getting bigger- not that anyone wants to message with me, I beleive they are just curious as well after they read some thing I have posted.

I find people normally read my profile after I have posted something.  Viewers are from all over, and do not generally drop me an email after viewing.  Hmmm.. was it something I wrote?
I think they view out of simple curiousity, and nothing more.

WOW... thanks for the post; I (who usually read & push ALL buttons on a site) never noticed this one!

However, there is a 'disclaimer' of sorts...at the top of your 'Who's Viewing Me' page it states:

Users who have recently viewed your full profile:

(italics are mine)

i KNOW that most of the people who message me do not read my profile.  i dont care that people read it,  shoot, that's what its there for.  i am who and what i am, and that's about it...

what bothers me is the people who dont read it.  no, i'm not looking for a couple.  bisexual doesnt mean "will sleep with anything that moves and some that dont"  submissive doesnt mean doormat.  i have a brain and am not afraid to use it.

and i've been given broad permission to snarl at any person who leaves a message "let me know when your relationship fails".  WTF????  that's MAJORLY insulting to Sir, and you think i'd give you the time of day after that?  *massive eyeroll*

I'm going to dovetail on Bearlee  (yes, that's me you feel back there!) ...

It's possible to read someone's narrative and journal entries without reading the "full" profile.  The only thing someone is missing is your list of interests.

I like the whos viewing me button, it gives me a giggle to see those who are obsessed with my apparent identity (im sum1 else according to them) viewing my profile every couple of days.

I like being able to see the people from the boards who have taken a peek at me.  It gives me a more palpable sense of community here, and has helped me to strike up several conversations on the other side.

The serial lookers who are local are funny ... I watch to see if they will *ever* message.

Some subs rarely message first without permission (I'm of that ilk - just seems polite) so they may peek and peek and peek, but won't message you first unless you message them or have a statement in your profile that says, "feel free to send me a message"

There are people on here that I've talked to alot that I don't send a message to first if we haven't talked in a while - and not all of them are Dommes either.

That depends on how long your profile text is.  With mine, for example, one can read the beginning, but in order to read it all, there's a little prompt at the cutoff that says "Click on the 'View Full Profile' button below to read the rest of this profile."

Exactly MSS...and that was my point.  Someone mentioned they get mail from people who are not listed in their 'Who's Viewing Me' list... that could be why; they didn't bother to open the full profile.

70 percent of the people looking at my profile are guys. This disturbs me a bit, am I putting out some weird female vibe or something. I guess, now I showed up on theres because I look at whoever looks at mine. Sorta a vicious cycle there I guess.

These guys simply look at your profile because you say sensible things and they want to know who said that. So it is a compliment, NTUY.

So far three male subs, three dommes, four doms, seven female subs and one female switch looked at my profile for whatever reason.
