Is that what I've heard referred to as the "violet wand brand?"

Nods... It is what most see it as... since that is the most common tool to do it with.  But... The guy I talked with has some other tool that he could use as well.  It used batteries...lol.

I wish I could... but my knowledge came from a guy that likes to do that sort of thing.  But, if you do some searches you should find some things.  But.. this is a type of play that I would want to talk to someone first hand.. and not go by what you read here.

Will do, and absolutely would want to talk to an experienced person first hand.

I have witnessed the Electrical Branding.  In fact a girl that use to be with me had a Electrical Branding done on her.  The branding lasted about 1 year and then it began to fade.  Within two years it wasn't visiable.  Alandra also and a small test Branding done.  She still as the mark and that is about 4 years ago and it as fresh looking as the it was then (healed of course)

Quite interesting.  It can be done with a  wand??  I am so naive, lol.

There was very little smell during the branding. it was rather pleasant actually.  But, each person is going to be different.. one needs to be prepared for getting results less that expected or more.. and not it a good way either.

Thank you for your reply, KoM.  I'm quite happy with what I have but was interested in other and new options.

MasterNdorei -> RE: put my brand on you!!! (3/21/2007 7:25:30 PM)

Master had me branded a little over a year after i was collared. i received a 12 strike brand on my left shoulder. It is about 4x5 inches in size. There is a picture of it on our profile.

The expereince was really intense, all told there was less than one second of pain... but there is another sensation that is beyond pain... hard to describe, but it was an E ticket ride into subspace for sure!

The most amazing aspect for me is the effect it has had on Master, and still has, to this day. There is never a day go by that His hand does not find it's way to His mark on me. Even in His sleep His hand rests there. Nothing has made me feel more committed and owned.

Thanks ownedgirlie :-)

You are so welcome.  I was grateful that you shared it!

I think whats important is that you cherish his mark, whatever it is.  Most of the pain of the brand at the moment is more mental, it doesn't actually hurt that much (its the healing that hurts).  And I really identify as a complete pain wuss!

This is such a great and obvious point that I seem to have missed.  I appreciate your words here.  I do cherish it, in fact, so very much.  I think I just keep looking for more and more to do for him, and more ways to push myself.  But he is quite proud of this mark and I am too, and your words brought it all home for me.

But to me it was more about going down a path in many ways.  There was the path I went down over around four years to get to the point of craving and begging for the brand.  And then the path of having it heal and watching my skin scab, and then some layers of skin not be there, and then heal and then emboss all in the shape of his inital was really unexpected and bonding.

It really is the "journey," isn't it?  And for me it was taking his sketched design, finding an artist to take it and turn it into something awesome, and then have it done.  And while the tatoo place gave me a bad experience, I would not replace this beautiful vision for the world.

Thank you again. :)

nephandi -> RE: put my brand on you!!! (3/22/2007 12:54:24 AM)

A friend of mine that like tatoos and other such things have a smal brand on her forearm, it was a single stroke heat brand and she told me there was not alot of pain, she said it stung like getting a tatoo, but not more. A TV show i watched aboute said that the hotter the metal the less pain, if it is hot enough it will just knock out the nerves in the erea and one will not feel a thing, well that is unthil the healing begin.

i tink however it is inportant to know that a brand will not be a nice red mark like in so mutch fiction, idialy it will be a slightly raised scar just a tad bit ligther in color than your skin, it is a rather subtil mark realy.

I was very interested in brandings until, as part of my research, I attended one.  The reality can be quite ugly. It smells, first off. You're cooking a bit of human flesh. That in itself is something you don't know how you'll react to until you've smelled it. Then there is the reaction of the person being branded. Yeah.. um.. after that, branding is not for me!

I suspect what you are describing is a Heat Brand... Cold Brand and Electrical Brand will be different

You are correct. It was a heat branding. I've not witness an electrical or cold one.

StellaByStarlite -> RE: put my brand on you!!! (3/22/2007 4:07:00 AM)

Hello. =)

I've been fascinated by branding for a long time, it's something the Mister and I are both looking into to. Chooding the symbol or letter is pretty important, I guess, since more elaborate detailed marks will heal in a in a big scabby mess.

Part of my interest lies in the "overcoming a fear" factor, 'cuz I'm a big wussy, lol. It's like skydiving for couchpotatos. ;P

Wildfleurs, I checked out your site on your branding a while back when I was searching for info. =) Very cool!

I just wanted to say my experience was very similar.  Right after the branding there was an amazing endorphin rush I'd never felt before (partly the mental aspect since he had branded me and partially just straight up endorphins) and we ended up fucking the minute the brand was bandaged (once I convinced him I was fine).  And then the entire day I was just buzzing and high as could be with no pain.  It was when I woke up the next day that I started to feel some pain.

And similarly once the brand healed my owner has found that he loves touching it (and even running his lips and beard over it).  We had planned it very carefully so the way we usually sit/half lay around watching TV his hand usually just traces around it naturally.  Its funny, as much as I underestimated how the brand would affect me, he (nor I) expected it to affect him emotionally.

I'm guessing this tool is the "Cold Heat" soldering tool. It's like a tiny arc welder. I've never seen it done, so I don't know for sure.
http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/tools/69d3/

A cold brand, I would image, it done with liquid nitrogren type degree...like how they freeze off warts. Severe cold can burn as mush as severe heat.

My brands were done with a cauterizing pen, so they were a heat brand.

As for people's reactions, all people are different. I was relaxed and oddly present. I didn't expect to be. And, if they tell you the second pass doesn't hurt because all the nerves were killed the first time around...they lie. It hurts the second time around because you're still damaging surrounding tissue.

The last brand I made was applied at APEX in Phoenix, and you would have sworn we where doing an amputation from all the fuss it caused beforehand.
But branding people is NOT like branding cattle, and any Gorean reference to technique is to be avoided at all cost, unless you desire to maim instead of mark.
The girl was held in place by straps to prevent movement, she was still in subspace from the scene finished minutes before, and the brand was on her skin for between 1/2 and 1 second.  She didn't even flinch.
One thing I found surprising, is that the brand faded to almost nothing in five years.

Yes! i was still high from it the next day too. It was such a surprise, and the only time i have woken up to still feel the rush.

In response to kennels' story, i am wondering how mnay people had to be restrained when they were branded? i wasn't. Perhaps because it was on my back?

I wasn't restrained, I was kneeling on a sofa and we had talked extensively about the importance of me holding still no matter how much it hurt so that I wouldn't end up with a distorted brand.

Hello, Looking for input on slave branding, how long into the relationship.  What techniques work best? et cetera? thanks

Personally I'd wait until you are ready to tie your lives together legally and finacially by marriage. At least.

But then again... I really don't want to be branded. Thankfully Valyraen has no desire to.

From personal experience - having the brand of another's mans name on yourself AFTER a relationship has ended and a new one has begun - well it can create some tension in a new relationship.

Ouch. Is there any way to rebrand it to make it look like something else?

In our case, it was not needed at all.  But we didn't know that in advance.  lol

ok, this is one thing that i can't even think i would do....i have a few tattoos, but they are all things that are about ME and my family.....i could not get any kind of mark for a lover, no matter what, i know that no matter how happy you are it might end and you will have to live with that mark for ever..... that is my personal oppinion, and i respect those who do have brands and tattoos for there partner

Cuckme4Life -> RE: put my brand on you!!! (3/22/2007 11:24:51 PM)

i told my ex girlfriend (vanilla) that i wouldnt mind HER name tattooed on my most private male organ if She wanted it there. . She doesnt believe i would actually do it but does not push the issue to see it done either. Like i said, vanilla.

Wildfleurs -> RE: put my brand on you!!! (3/23/2007 7:33:12 AM)

Using fast reply...

I don't think there is any guarantees in life around a relationship, in particular given the divorce rate in the US its definitely not a guarantee of longevity.  For me and my owner what was important before doing the brand was that we had been together for a while (it was seven years into the relationship when we did the brand) and were committed to the relationship and the dynamic. And I also realized that I could continue thinking about what would happen if the relationship were to end or just realize that it had been seven years at that point and it hadn't ended, the sky hadn't fallen and so it was probably okay to get his mark and chances are our relationship would not end the day after I got it.

However, even if he were to release me tommorow I wouldn't regret having the brand at all, however when I asked him he said he can't imagine me walking around with his mark and not belonging to him.
