Hi

If it is a back and forth flow, all is well, if it is a dynamic Energy flow between you, both will be strengtend by it, and it might even have health benefits, it is only if one is feeding on the other and no Energy i given back there is problems.

OMG it sure is!  And listening to the subtle clues is really hard to do!  Again, it's gut talking.  I know more then once I've made excuses for someone or felt I had to be nice for some reason only to find I felt sucked dry in time.  I only wish I could spot it early on and use limits to keep them back before they do any damage.  Grrrr
Have any pointers in spotting them?

That's how it works when it's healthy and productive.

The worst are the ones who literally identify themselves as vampires/energy vampires- they bring out my uber don't fuck with me side.

I will sometimes talk about wanting to find someone who "clicks" with me. That "click" is all about energy exchange. In my professional life I use my energy to bring calm to chaotic situations. It it's that I make the situations go away, I just try to bring a different energy flow to them. So far it seems to work. Outside of work, I try to do the same thing. One thing I have to bring to any D/s relationship I may have is a positive energy.....that and good cooking skills!!

What a yummy topic. It is a large part of what  I have been studying intently over the last year or so.

Several people have responded in ways that made me think, "oh yes! Me also!"

Vendeval's post I could have typed almost word for word. I especially thought of how I often feel about large group socializing. I am often accused of either being stuck up and/or unsocial when the reality is that, sometimes, if I cannot find a person or persons that have a really good energy flow I will retreat and of course it is felt by others. It all depends on how I feel and wether I know I can cope with the constant bombardment of less than desirable energy.

Then nephandi and LA's mention of the energy vampires. I have had to cut people out of my life because of this, my mother being the primary person.

On the positive side I have been told multiple times by various people that they have felt a very powerful energy from me. That it is part of what drew them to me. And that it is also what frightens some also. It is only within the last year that I have really been focusing on disciplining myself in this area. It's not easy, first you have to be aware, then you need to get rid of the ego that gets in your way and fucks everything all up. Having a strong personal energy is a wonderful thing, IF it is disciplined.  If not then I believe it can cause those around us harm.

i am such to a certin degree through i mostly take it out on plants witch i kill at an amasing speed. However many pepole that identify as an Psychic Vampire dont have a choice and can nto control it, somthing i neiter usualy can.

Well the most wasy way to find a psychic vampire is if there are pepole you just feel drained when you have been around. There are ways to learn to see such thing in the auras of pepole as such but that is hard and prone to misfire, but somtimes you can feel the pull of Energy from you to a certin person.

Yes, I know what you're talking about. I try to always operate from a place of consious intent, but often don't do as well as I think I could or do things unconciously to undermine what I'm trying to do or simply deny what I'm REALLY doing because it's manipulative and I don't want to admit that I'm doing it. Yes, I've used it to my benefit, but I'm struggling with deciding if I think that's a positive or negative. On the one hand, there is the concept of being a co-creator of what I want on the other hand, there's the concept of free-will for everyone. So, if I'm working on things that require certain people to be in them, then how is my creation not a manipulation.

Eh. I'm very sick...could all be delusions.

Perfect sense.  And when it happens, it seems to be a constant. 

I am often called cold and hard, my girl is one of those people who can pass without notice in an empty room.  Put us together in the same room, and without any other factor in play,  we attract people who would never have said boo to us before. 
Alone, I am the guy ALWAYS being strip searched at the airport.  Together, no figure of authority ever looks hard at me. 
A strange spin off from the energy created by a most unlikely pair.

Yes, the energy vampire ones I just block.  They are prevalent
in the Gothic/Punk subculture so you do just have to deal with
them.  And some people have that dynamic without ever realizing
that they drain other people of energy.
 
If I am in a foul mood, then it is time to go off alone and
meditate.  Like LaT, I have a strong personality and have
been known to scare the hell out of people when just a bit
irritated. 
 
On the positive side, I find it easy to calm a nervous person
or be a comfort to someone who needs a sympathetic ear,
just by listening and being there.

I have been doing energy work for 10 yrs Master and I have been using it in our seenes since we have been togeather. I was using it for reiki and it was deffinantly a concious thing,
Now with people of a like mind things just happen to flow naturaly, using your energy being aware of it and having personal discipine to use it and be aware of it
