I am a retired Airforce Officer in my late 40s and current Laird of my clan, as my name states. Both my wife Madam Draco and myself have always had servants in one form or another.

As to the type of  Master I am, well...

I believe that being fair and firm to my charges helps to foster a good and strong bonding relationship. As I have seen first hand the results of what a bad master can do. I believe a happy servent/slave/sub is one that strive to please will do what is told to do without question and trust their master to be fair.

I believe that the Punishment should fit the crime or behavour and should not be over little things, and a reason for the punishment is explained before it is administered so that it helps the slave/sub/servant strive for better performance.

I also believe in rewards for excellent behavour and performance of what ever they are told to do.

I am fortunate to have Madam Draco as my wife of nearly 25 years. She has been the drive behind me joining Collarme and convinced me to follow my natural path as a Master once again. As I have spent time with her slaves and have had many conversations with them over the past year or so and at times taken control of them myself. So I have finally decided to take the next step and here I am.

Glenfiddich's entire output for the year is sometimes not enough to cope
with the experience of meeting some of the residents of this virtual  asylum,

Hear Hear!  That's why I save the single malts (even the mundane, like Glenfiddich) for one-on-one (or so) real life encounters.  For meeting the CM crowd, stick with Rannoch.

I usually prefer to keep a large bottle of Glenmorangie close at hand for those first one on one meetings. Now that is a Single Highland Malt worth drinking. [sm=applause.gif]

I don't drink Glenmorangie as a regular, but I do like some of their "special wood" bottlings -- the Sherry Cask comes to mind.

My "everyday" scotch is Glenfarklas, which I'm luckily able to get locally.  the cask strength is pricey, but incredible.  My "specials" are Dahlwhinney and Oban.
