i was curious as to how long it took before your Dom/Domme, Master/Mistress formally collared you? Not including the training collar.

i didnt have a training collar, but was with Him as a nilla gf for 4 months before collared. about 2 months after we discovered M/s and felt we had enough to embark down the path [we're both greenies] it was a fast decision, but has worked, so far. one year on easter.

I met My slave online where we got talking met, and then collared rt within a month, when it met it just all felt right, sometimes it needs more, sometimes less, just depends. I have known her for about 2-3 months online.

I guess in a way my first collar (the one i have) was 9 years in the making... We met vanilla 9 years ago, dated and drifted apart. (we were both exploring kink and thought the other was too vanilla and pure to be interested in that kinky stuff.. so we never brought it up, we lived 90 minutes away so never ran into each other). We re-met in the lifestyle 5 years ago, we became casual friends, not much more then "how are you doing" for a few years since we then lived three states away. 2 years ago i moved much closer and then we both went to a kinky camp for 5 days. I was still uncollard. I did a lot of dinner service there and other things. He was impressed by my service. He did my kidnapping there and i fought for 45 minutes with the three guys. He had enough finally and pullout some wrestling move on me had me pinned against His chest, arms and legs all twisted up, He whispered to me, "Who is in charge now girl?" All i could muster was a meek "You are Sir." That was first time i ever called him Sir before. i called Him Sir from then on. I did some service for Him on and off (dinner, boat work, party, built a workbench, domestic) for 4-5 months, Last February i petition Him for a service contract and slave collar. He accepted, put me through training and testing for 3 months and collard me end of May last year '06. This is my first collar. Yesterday we just bought a house together.

We've been together for just about 16 months and I have no idea when he will see fit to put a collar on me. Probably either before he proposes or after we get married. Here is hoping. [:)]

I guess I am in the minority on this one, as I do still keep the use of consideration collars, or at the very minimum, some sort of symbol of claim. How quickly that happens, of course depends on the situation and the sub involved. A claim, IMHO, can be made in as little as two months, in r/t scenerios. A lot of that depends on how well consideration talks move along. The first formal collar however, takes longer.

i met my Master/Daddy online, on a vanilla site (after having my breath taken away when i saw him on CM 2 mos prior)..We didn't meet in rt for another 4 mos (but talked ALOT on the phone)...We dated and talked for about another 4 mos before stuff in my other/old life got waaaay in the way...we were on and off again for another 6 mos. and then when everything settled down he collared me (1-27-06) This is my first "real" collar. (i was collared to my ex but we were both new and now i know that that relationship was top/bottom and not the M/s relationship i am in now)

When my wife and I decided to enter into a M/s relationship, I gave her a training collar on the very fisrt night. It has seemed to be useful as a reminder to her. We have been looking at collars to replace the training collar for when she is ready. She is very excited about it and knows that receiving the new collar will be how she knows she has truelly blossomed into the slave that I want her to be. She'll know she truelly pleases master.

Angel was collared on Sept 13 of 06. He waited 5 months after we met to recieve his collar and he got it earlier than I had planned on collaring him by request. Originally we were going to wait until I moved down here but since those plans were up in the air and we had no idea when that would be, I agreed that he could get the collar when I was down to visit before I moved. We were both very happy with the arrangement and still are. DV

Not including the training collar. i was never really "formally" collared. d/s was something that we decided to bring into the relationship within a month or two of getting together, and it just sort of fit (we had only been in a relationship for a short time, but had known each other for quite some time). we do have a discreet everyday collar as well as a playtime collar we use from time to time. i was never under any "training collar." eta: in my previous d/s relationship we were very close friends for a year before getting engaged, and he collared me shortly after we got engaged...again, no training collar.

There was no training collar or collar of consideration. I did not receive a collar after he took ownership of me, either, as the collar signified a more serious level of commitment. I was submitting to him for two months before he owned me, and four more months before he put a collar on me. Nine months after that he permanently marked me with a design of his creation, which was extremely meaningful.
