Llyren -> Pet Peeve (3/14/2007 4:31:41 PM)

This has happened to me twice so far.  Someone will send me a rude or even downright offensive note, then quickly block me so I can't respond.   Thereby denying me the opportunity to give them the chastisement they so richly deserve.  Does anyone else have that happen?  Someone sends you a note out of the blue, and when you reply that you're not interested, they send something icky and then block?   I hope I'm not 'teh speshul' for the nitwit crowd.

Oh that happens to me quite often. I am used to it. I just ignore it and move on!

windchymes -> RE: Pet Peeve (3/14/2007 4:43:07 PM)

If you REALLY need to chastise them back, just make a new profile with the same name you used that they blocked, but put a number after it....like "Llyren2"....it'll get through and they'll recognize it [;)]

Llyren -> RE: Pet Peeve (3/14/2007 4:45:46 PM)

It's an amusing thought, but so far they're not worth that much effort.  I think I at times get carried away with my own cleverness, and hate to see high-quality verbal.. err.. written abuse go to waste.

I don't think I have had anyone block me, and I've only blocked one person because he was a wacko.  On Alt, I have blocked a couple, but have never been blocked myself.  Guess I am just too nice.  ;)

SirKenin -> RE: Pet Peeve (3/14/2007 6:04:45 PM)

Let me guess.  It is almost always about your excessive obesity and your attitude.

Some people do not like this and they get very bitter and/or aggressive about it.  There is not much you can do about it.  They have problems.  You can not change how people look at you, so you might as well just accept it and move on.  Either that or if you can not handle it then take those details out of your profile.  Remember, the only person you have control over is yourself.

Excuse me, but who are you directing this post to?

The OP.  Sorry, I do not do the quote thing very well.

It has happened to me quite a few times. I choose to be the better person and go on with out any interaction.

LadySeraphina -> RE: Pet Peeve (3/14/2007 6:13:41 PM)

The only time I indulge in replying to wankers is if I feel an urge to give myself a little karmic junk food. I know it's not good for me, but tearing them a new one is oh-so-delicious! :D And yes, sometimes they deprive me of my treat by blocking me first.

SirKenin -> RE: Pet Peeve (3/14/2007 6:30:43 PM)

It is wierd.  I have only ever gotten one, and it was from a douchebag in this forum that did not like my in-your-face reply to her question in her thread.  Other than that, never.

DiurnalVampire -> RE: Pet Peeve (3/14/2007 6:35:17 PM)

I get it all the time.  Bah, who cares.  ITs sour grapes, you didnt say what they wanted, so they have to accuse you of being a fake, call you fat or say something else that makes it look as if they didnt really want you anyway. After all, they cant actually accept they just arent a good fit.

Actually, no.  Well, the attitude perhaps a smidgen.

Either that or if you can not handle it then take those details out of your profile.  Remember, the only person you have control over is yourself.

No, those details are in there very deliberately.  First off because I refuse to be ashamed of myself.  Whether I change or not, I am myself.  Secondly because I don't wish to pretend to be something I'm not, and even give the slightest impression of being deceptive.   Finally, it tends to weed out the faint of heart.   [sm=lol.gif]   Personally, I prefer the term 'fat', but that's just me.  And if anyone can't handle something fat, snarky, and very strong-willed, better that they know from the beginning and stay very far away from me.

LeMis -> RE: Pet Peeve (3/14/2007 6:51:29 PM)

I have had the odd one or two "weird" e-mails just to be insulting, degrading or abusive.  I usually just ignore, delete and go on w/ life.  When I have responded, and not to be nasty to that person either, I always found out that I was blocked, LOL!

What chicken-shi*s, roflmao!!!  [:D]

Are they afraid I may come back w/ a witty remark?  LOL!!!

ncmaster75 -> RE: Pet Peeve (3/15/2007 1:15:26 PM)

That happens to me too.  The last one said "you nasty bastard, no girl is gonna do all that".  It was from a really nasty disgusting looking chic.  So I was gonna come back with "Yes, I am nasty but you just LOOK nasty." But she had already blocked me.
