i just went to the RMV to renew my license, but i couldn't, coz my douche ex who was a total douche and did things like steal my atm card for drug money and hold my shit ransom, has left me with 4 unpaid parking tickets [which i was told were paid] and now i have to pay 414.94 to renew it, instead of 50 bucks, coz they're all from '04, thank you very much

Well, Sally, there's always the ( admittedly weak ) solution of grudgingly paying the fines, then dragging him into Small Claims court to get the money back.

well i am going to suck it up and pay for now, but i dont see how i could actually get anywhere in small claims court. i was going to write his parents as silly as it sounds b/c i believe they are aware of his douche-ness at the time, and hopefully believe me. god knows they could afford to.

It's a cheap lesson learned....Most States have websites that you can log into to find if you have any unnpaid tickets.

And this is definitely pay back for not eating ass or a gal on her period.  Bad Sally!

poor Mixie, been in a similar state with an ex, found out after getting pulled over at a checkpoint that the ex who was required to keep insurance on the car hadn't and my plates had been revoked.  Luckily the officer believed me called for a ride home for me, my unmentionables and the sitter and when I had to go to court prepped me for what to say and made sure I had written copies of his agreement.  Was still a pain in the rump though.

I didn't have problems like that in my last visit to the DMV, but afterward someone broke in and stole their computers and other equipment (maybe to make fake IDs), so there's a risk that personal info of a few thousand folks like me was on them for identity theft. It's lotsa fun checking with credit bureaus about that!

Hey, you're in Massachusetts right?
Howie Carr on WRKO (680 am) says illegal aliens don't have to pay speeding or parking tickets in Massachusetts.
Court? They just never show up!
Just go to the RMV and tell them you're an illegal alien!
They'll GIVE you a lisense!
The illegals just give different names and addresses for new lisenses..
If they can do it why not you?
I am SOOOOOO glad I got out of that rotten state years ago!
Tell the ex he has 30 days to "Get it UP!" and if he doesn't, knife all his tires. And keep doing it until he pays up.

I am sorry to hear about this mess, mixie.  Your best bet
probably is his parents.  Even if you win in small claims court,
getting the money out of him would be an exercise in futility.
