sugarcoatedscamp -> RE: Ever been blocked? (3/6/2007 2:39:59 PM)

Not too long ago, I was talking to a girl here on collarme.  One night, we were sitting and chatting, talking about plans we were making for the following weekend, and the likelihood of my being able to come there to pick her up for the weekend visit.  The next day, I emailed to get a few details and found that I had been blocked.  I guess for some, it's easier than saying, "I thought about it, and I don't feel like we're a good fit for one another."

WhiteRadiance -> RE: Ever been blocked? (3/6/2007 2:49:31 PM)

I block people on a regular basis. I block them for sending pics of their cocks and emailing me the same mass-email letter more then twice.  I have blocked certain "femdoms" and "femsubs" who were NOT. And I blocked one guy who was excessively judgmental and argumentative.
I just don't have time for nonsense.

edited to add- if I've been blocked I don't know about it and don't care.

Very well said MasterFireMaam.

I rarely block people, but if they are being rude for no reason, if they have imposed upon me pictures of their genetalia (which I have no desire, ever,  to see) or when they  have just been generally ignorant and unreasonable, I block.

I have been blocked, conversely, often when I have very politely, if a bit schoolmarmishly, informed them that they are not entitled to treat me in the manner which they have chosen.

I actually blocked my first person today because of that very thing.
I have no idea if I have been blocked, I do not write others first.

DiurnalVampire -> RE: Ever been blocked? (3/6/2007 3:25:32 PM)

Me, Ive been blocked a bunch of times.  A few because I refused to jump on the phone with them right away, so I was fake and a waste of their time. Some becasue they had something to say about my pictures that I didnt apreciate (an innapropriate sexual comment, usualy) and I have told them how unappealing that was for a first contact. Others tell me I am a game player when they offer themseves to me , obviously not having read my profile, and then ask me why I am still here if I am not looking.

I dont really let it phase me, if they are blocking me it just means thats one less person to worry about deleting hate mail from.

Lashra -> RE: Ever been blocked? (3/6/2007 3:32:37 PM)

I block the idiotic, the rude, the insulting as I feel they have nothing worth my listening too. Surprisingly my list only has 4 peeps on it. I don't know how many have blocked me, probably a few since I don't hestitate to speak what is on my mind and I do not bother with sugar coating.

MuseofGrace -> RE: Ever been blocked? (3/6/2007 3:42:18 PM)

Only one I'm aware of---it was a "Drive-By".  Someone I never corresponded with before shot an insulting message and blocked from the get-go (my first hate-mail).  I simply blocked and moved on.

SirKenin -> RE: Ever been blocked? (3/6/2007 6:51:11 PM)

Not that I know of?  Mind you, I do not attempt to send them any type of picture, I am not rude to them, I only compliment an aspect of their profile, I do not objectify them (although many women bring dirty comments on themselves with their suggestive pictures..  I just simply refuse to play that game).  I have had one woman be ignorant when asked for more specifics of location (as in which town exactly) because I knew the area quite well and was genuinely curious in a friendly way.  I just blocked the twat.  Other than that I have never had a problem.  In fact, all the emails I have received, except for one stupid cunt here in the forums sending me hate mail because she did not like my response to her topic (the only other person to earn a block), have been really nice and uplifting and I have not had any problems.

Besides, if they block me because I tell them I really liked the content of their profile, that is their problem, not mine.

Solinear -> RE: Ever been blocked? (3/6/2007 6:54:53 PM)

Maybe.... not sure, it is probably a matter of joint blocking... someone went completely ballistic on me right after I joined the site for, what I consider, perfectly reasonable conclusions based upon what she posted and what was in her profile.  After trying to explain how I came to that conclusion and apologize if I had stated things that were unwanted, she went completely nuts on me again.... I then blocked her and have since never read another of her posts.  She may have blocked me... I honestly couldn't care less.  Other people... well, I wouldn't be surprised, but that would probably be because they auto-block males or something similar like that.

ownedgirlie -> RE: Ever been blocked? (3/6/2007 7:00:03 PM)

Do you get a message back, saying you've been blocked?  How do you know?

I have blocked just one person on the email side, and none on this side.  I know of only one person who made it a point on this side to say he blocked me, claiming even an English Comprehension class couldn't help me, lol.  Gotta give him credit for creativity.

mystiquenz -> RE: Ever been blocked? (3/6/2007 10:19:27 PM)

don't worry about it, their problem, not yours ...

This is the only instance I know of that I was blocked.,.. someone emailed me insulting me and then I attempted to have him clarify and he had preemptively blocked me. Others may have blocked me, I rarely email anyone first, and I am usually fairly sure that any email I send will be well received

wandersalone -> RE: Ever been blocked? (3/7/2007 3:32:08 AM)

I am not alone for I too have been blocked - the horror the horror! grins
He had sent distasteful emails to me a few months earlier and then sent another one and I replied that I wasn't interested the first time and wasn't interested now. He blocked me. [:D]

cuddleheart50 -> RE: Ever been blocked? (3/7/2007 3:42:53 AM)

Yes, I have been blocked......sometimes I have a very sarcastic sense of humor that some do not appreciate...lol...

bandit25 -> RE: Ever been blocked? (3/7/2007 3:46:41 AM)

Screw em if they can't take a joke.  I've never been blocked...at least, not that I know of.  I should try emailing everyone on the site and see.  Hmmmmmmmm

When you attempt to send an e-mail to someone who has you blocked, the home page loads with a big red-letter message at the top:

User has blocked you, mail not sent

(message edited because I sent an e-mail to someone I know has me on block so I could see what it actually says)

ownedgirlie -> RE: Ever been blocked? (3/7/2007 8:10:04 AM)

Thank you!

Okay then no I haven't been blocked that I'm aware of.

SweetSarijane -> RE: Ever been blocked? (3/7/2007 8:37:43 AM)

I've been blocked by one that I'm aware of. It was one of those drive by hate mailers and I just had to hit reply to see if he did block me lol. I just roll my eyes, grin and go on about my life.

FelinePersuasion -> RE: Ever been blocked? (3/9/2007 3:06:36 PM)

I've blocked a few people and been blocked life goes on.

Arpig -> RE: Ever been blocked? (3/9/2007 6:22:39 PM)

No idea, if I don't get a reply, I don't send a 2nd message, I assume the person I wrote to was not interested in corresponding with me and let it go.
