Missing A Pal
by Master GryGoast

when I was with mom, before she passed. I had a Dalmation.... Buttler, the big lug [image]http://sc.groups.msn.com/themes/R9c/pby/img/emoticons/emsmile.gif[/image], 110 lbs of pure lover ... (he he he), he was my "hugger". When I first got him, I took him every where, taking mom shoping and such...

Id walk him around outside while mom did her shopping. He just loved the attention. One time.... we were at Wal Mart of all places... there was a lil girl in a wheel chair... and her care giver... the girl was really bad.... sever retardation.... buttler spoted her... and drug me to get over to her, seeing something only the simple innocent heart could see.

I didnt want to let him go.... I didnt know how the girl would respond... but the care give jumped at the opertunity. The girl wasn't so sure bout this new sittuation and shyed back on the other side of her chair. So the care giver took her hand ... her lil hand ball up into a tight lil fist... Buttler just stood there, paitently waiting. his tail wagging a mile a minute. The care giver open the girls hand... out flat... and butler ... softly and gently... laid a big ol wet sloppy doggie toung accross her palm... [image]http://sc.groups.msn.com/themes/R9c/pby/img/emoticons/emsmileo.gif[/image]
well... this girls face exploded in the biggest ... most genuian GRIN I ever saw... and this wonderful ... un-restrained giggel of pure joy squeeled across the parking lot...

I look around... a small crowd had paused to watch, at a respecful distance... and there we severl ladys... that had tears in there eyes
I was so proud [image]http://sc.groups.msn.com/themes/R9c/pby/img/emoticons/emsmiled.gif[/image]

and that was it.... he went back to working the crowed for attention...

the big lug [image]http://sc.groups.msn.com/themes/R9c/pby/img/emoticons/emwink.gif[/image]

I miss him... tons

well...he didnt handel mom's passing well.... I found him cold one morning... bout 5/6 weeks after she passed

but ... I know ... in my heart.... hes ok now ...
cus... you see... all dogs go to heven...
mom told me so when I was a lad.

and I knowin my heart, now... when he napps in the afternoon... he lays down in heven by mom... and she rocks his butt softly ... till he drifts off to sleep ...

just like he always like best of all

and I know for him.... that was heven [image]http://sc.groups.msn.com/themes/R9c/pby/img/emoticons/emteeth.gif[/image]

Godspeed

I'm feeling a touch of dread here.

moki1984 -> RE: Missing A Pal (3/1/2007 6:46:59 PM)

that brought a smile to my face

Oh my doggie just got over a Liver disease, and it was awful to see him sick. I would feel even worse if he died!

I think the only time in my whole life I ever saw my own father cry was when he talked about having to take our family dog to the Vet to be put down (Brandy, our dog, was 16 at the time, and could barely walk, see, or any longer control his bladder). The day he was going to be put down, my mother, who had been complaining for years about the fact the dog shed his fur all over the house, fixed him his "last meal": A steak, mashed potatoes and Hagen Daz ice cream! I love doggies - they are such cool, loving creatures. My heart goes out to you.

I'm not suggesting anything be censured (maybe later), but I feel compelled to ask what the OP is doing on a general bdsm discussion board.

While a touching story, you are right that this isn't the right place for this post. The OP is new and just didn't realize yet where eveything goes. I'm sure the mods will move it in time.

To the OP, this story should have gone into
Off Topic Discussion  http://www.collarchat.com/forumid_43/tt.htm The section guidelines http://www.collarchat.com/m_73512/tm.htm will give you a better idea of what goes where. Welcome to the boards and we look forward to hearing more from you.

It's true, it does, but he also just posted a good poem here on the General Discussion board, and got nothing but positive feedback for it (I liked the peom, too), so that might be why this was posted here soonafter that as well. In any case, this is a good little story, too. Sorry about your pooch.

I love dogs. And i would love to have one again. But we are living in the city, on the fourth floor. I do not believe in dogs in urban surroundings, grewing up with happy dogs in the country. The Berliner (inhabitants of the city where i live) surely believe otherwise, because they have up to 5 or 6 dogs in little appartments.

PS My first dog was also a dalmatian (Dalmatiner).

I second the line of Questioning.   Gawd... why can't I get the stupid Guns-N-Roses song out of my head now... "I used to love her"...

Thanks, it's been years and now that song is stuck in my head.  [:@]
