I've just scheduled a trip to Tombstone in hope of photographing some ghosts. If you have done the same..tell me of your experience.

"Ghosthunters" from SciFi channel did an episode there. If I remember right, though, they didn't capture much, maybe a few blips or EMF surges, but nothing on film.

TAP's had more success. That's peaked my interest. They were setting up the cameras and had to loop one ofthe cords around a wall clock to get it off the floor. Upon reviewing the tapes then next morning, they saw that the ciord was onthe floor..the tapes show the cord actually rising up and over the clock :)

I've been to a hotel in Prescott..the Vendome and gone to the haunted room there. Nothing. I'm pretty sensitive and all I got was the hopless sadness of the lady that died there.

Just something I've been interested in and am starting to explore :)

Lotus,

I'm a sensitive as well and had a great visit to Tombstone. I happened to be there on the anniversary of the actual gunfight (October 26th) Not sure when you're planning to do the visit but if you can get there on or around the anniversary I think it would be beneficial. Friends of mine got some photos with orbs in them and I hit cold spots more than once on a very warm day. Totally enjoyed the visit and would do it again.

If you have a digital camera with a video feature hit the record if you start to feel anything. The same friends did that during a visit to Whaley House here in SD and got some great film out of it. They also have books of photos at Whaley that people have sent in their phenomenom photos to have on display. Have a great trip and let us know what happens!

When I was in Berlin Germany, there was one room in the barracks that had been pretty much unoccupied since WWII. People who have slept there said they could see the SS marching and singing and stuff in the night. No I didn't sleep in the room, My room was in the building next door. Interesting side point, the compound was built for the 1936 olympics (complete with a real heated olympic indoor pool - which is the only building hit by a bomb).

Lotus You should come up to Chloride. The gold mine there still has like a thousand corpses in it I understand.

Lotus I forgot to tell you. At chloride there are some murals painted on the rocks which are pretty neat. They have been in AZ Highways Mag

The TAPS guys ARE the guys featured in the show Ghosthunters! lol But you're right, I had forgotten about that cord floating over the clock! Hey, if you get anything good, I hope you'll share with us! :)

October 26? Hmmm...that's the anniversary of my father's death, too. He always wanted to be buried in Boot Hill :)

I'm going in early April for the night in hopes of out running the heat before it starts. I've got a digital camera with vid feature FINALLY and so I'm ready!

I've got the Whaley house on my list of places to visit.. along with the Hotel Coronado. I hope to get to Salem Mass one of these days to pay my respects to Elizabeth Proctor. I played her in the Crucible (the senior class play in High School)

Let me know if you get to SD. There are several haunted places here. I know there's a website for them somewhere. Have to look when I get home and send it off to you. Alot of them are in the same area (Old Town) as Whaley House.

Hi Lotus,

I had some friend who were living near Boston and had the opportunity
to visit Salem, Mass, a few years ago. It was a very
memorable experience. The place is full of historical buildings
from the American Revolution Era.

There is a memorial to the victims of the witch trial
massacre outside of the original cemetary. I experienced
what some call "goose bumps" but others call "psychic rain"
on my arms both in the cemetary and while viewing a mural
dedicated to witches on the wall of a building. One of the stores
there has a photograph of a group of modern witches and there is
fog-like effect showing the energy around them. And it
was not done through Photoshop or other imaging software.

I want to return again for a couple of weeks to really explore the
place and talk with the locals, check out the libraries, etc.

(In high school we were doing a production of The Crucible and
I was to play Titubia, the slave from Barbados who taught
magic to the girls. But my family moved and I never had the
chance to play the part.)

The Whaley house is the "most haunted in the U.S." according to the Travel Channel tv network. And at Hotel Cornoado, you may get to see the ghost of hotel guest Elizabeth Morgan, who committed suicide there, about a hundred years ago (give or take a few years).

My visit to Tombstone was nothing more than a few hours side trip off the interstate on an unrelated through-trip.

I did, however, see the largest and most beautiful harvest moon I've ever seen while standing on Boot Hill during those few hours. It was one of those sights that stays with you forever. It was hard to believe I couldn't just reach out and touch it.

I'm really looking forward to it. I've lived in Arizona half my life..and haven't seen the things most travel thousands of miles to see.. it's about time!

I've not been to Tombstone, it's on my want to visit list.

Have had quite a few experiences in Gettysburg, which I visited weekly as a Truck driver thou.

Hey Popeye Just 30 minutes south of my house is a real forest with real (not plastic) trees. And a couple hrs from here is a big hole in the ground (I think they call it the grand canyon).

I would like to take my metal detector out there to find the gold coins they lost before they became ghost. Ghost towns are a great place to treasure hunt with a metal detector.
