 i firmly believe that  there is humor in all things.    i have been involved in seanes that have had me rolleing. I feel silly dureing puppy play and laugh often,  but I also find it very arouseing .  when i am being flogged  sometime  something in my head gets cross wired and no matter what sensation I feel I laugh. sometimes he will say something and my smart ass side will kick in and out pops the sarcastic humor and we both laugh till we cry.   and sometimes its all serios bussness. and   I dont feel a desire to even crack a smile.

Being serious is more the exception than the rule for me, though evil laughter may seem fun for me and serious business to my playmate. It is unlikely that I'll ever change my name to seriouspervert.

An attitude I really admire is one I read in a post to the soc.subculture.bondage-bdsm newsgroup a few years ago. The story went that one top was well known  in his local scene for floggings that included the use of a rubber chicken, and he did it because the serious domly doms would be so horrified by such frivolity that they would leave. heh

Although i am a huge smartass (in a good way) and love to laugh and see the humor in most events, when i am in a scene, i tend to need quiet, especially if there is going to be any significant level of pain play involved. It helps me focus, be able to take more, etc. Even just talking (for me) disturbs this process.

Which does not mean that i do not occassionally  laugh during a scene. i remember one where i was getting saline injections to my genital area and my breasts (some of which was frankly excrutiating at the time) and when that part of the scene was done, the Dominant said, "Now wasn't that easy." To which i replied "Easy is a relative term Sir."  Which W/we both found very funny.

i also play with another Dominant who jokes quite a lot most of the time, but not during a scene. During a scene He becomes very focused and the smart ass in Him doesn't come out again until the entire scene is done.

The Rubber Chicken, now that is FUNNY...I was beat on with a baseball bat---ok hold back the gasps....it is a foam t-ball bat from wally world...makes for a LOUD thud---not unpleasant...but the shock value when there is an audience is priceless...and for the record...all of the men are well known in the lifestyle, teachers and demonstrators....I think them showing the fun side taught some newbies not to take themselves too seriously...jmho

ownedgirlie -> RE: seriously (2/13/2007 7:47:10 AM)

I tend to be a serious person overall, although I do kid around a lot and laugh a lot...hmm.  But I will echo Marie here, and say that when he uses me I go into a deep place within...it is an emotional experience for me as well.  Then again he's always finding new ways to push my mind (or boggle it!).  But there are times when he uses me for his amusement and gets a good laugh out of what he's doing.  I'm always joyous to see him having such a good time.  When he laughs I can't help but laugh and feel elated - even if his laughter is at me!

fast reply,

in a pain inducing scene as such, i would be put off if the people whipping me were laughing ... unless, well i guess they were *that* sadistic.. other than that the only thing that makes me laugh during a scene is if He decides to zerbert my pussy I HATE THAT!!!!

It depends on the energy, the person (or people) and the intent.

Sometimes, the most serious scenes turn into the most humorous ones in seconds.  Humor is good for the soul.  Humor keeps us alive, vibrant and human.

I can remember one specific time that was supposed to be very intense.  He said one thing that reminded me of a line in a movie.  I immediately tried to suppress a grin, which he saw and, when he made the connection between what was said and the movie, the mood was lost and we were both cracking up.

Of course I got my ass cracked later for that one.

Oh well.....  [:)]

I completely agree...the energy was high, and positive, and the intent for those men is always to inspire and teach...I felt like one lucky 'bitch' to get to scene with all 3 involved...

sexyone4you -> RE: seriously (2/14/2007 1:34:39 PM)

It depends on who I am with whether or not it's okay to laugh or whether we stay serious.

calicowgirl -> RE: seriously (2/14/2007 1:44:15 PM)

I haven't "scened" much but guess thinking back on what I have done, most is serious. Just something about the frame of mind I end up in, especially if bound, that has a tendency to send me off somewhere inside of myself.
