Mercnbeth -> London men on the rise. (2/12/2007 7:01:12 AM)

Just in time for Valentine's Day!

The unmentioned conspiracy in the USA is the one between the FDA, AMA, and the drug companies who dictate how long a drug must be regulated by prescription before being released to over the counter access.

Fortunately, I'm blessed. I'm able to draw upon my Italian ancestry and, so far, have no need for any additional stimulus other than beth.

BTW- Do you notice that 'Viagra' sounds Italian? I think I had a relative named Viagra who lived on Staten Island that I used to visit as a kid. Yeah - "Uncle Viagra' and my cousin Cialis.

LONDON (AP) -- British pharmacy chain Boots will begin a trial program on Valentine's Day to offer men the anti-impotence drug Viagra without a prescription, the company said Sunday. The initial pilot program is expected to last six months, and Boots will then consider whether to expand it to other pharmacies. The chain has about 1,500 stores across Britain. Well, the trial is actually confined to Manchester as opposed to London or anywhere else in the country.

Yeah, we're limp now and again but us Northern Englishmen don't get a hard on for anyone and everyone - we're not a fucking charity. If a woman wants to bask in the majesty of a Northern hard on she has to earn the right.

Plus, when we do get it together, we aim to do the maximum amount of damage (hence the stockpiling of viagra - I usually take a thousand tablets the night before a session and my arse is still going like a bee's wing the following year).

P.S. interesting to know you're taking a passing interest in the ferocity of English cock on valentine's day.

I've never needed the stuff and never tried it but surely some old pervert on this site has tried it and can tell us whether the gossip is true and that it does sustain a healthy chopper through the night without need for recovery.

I guess we can expect a epidemic of London stock brokers dying from heart attacks on the job.

Merc, yeah, it does sound a little Italian, doesn't it?
I believe that Pfeizer Drug Co makes it in Dublin, Ireland if I'm not misstaken. Perhaps N.G. knows.

Its news.
You know why it is news?
Its the only time in the past 150 years that the UK can be "hard" without having to be "propped up" by the USA.

LadyEllen -> RE: London men on the rise. (2/12/2007 9:22:14 AM)

150 years ago (1857), Britain ruled the world, whilst the US was little more than an ex colonial backwater....

100 years ago (1907), Britain still ruled the world, whilst the US was just about getting its act together....

50 years ago (1957), Britain was fucked up from fighting a war which bankrupted it, whilst those it helped defeat were being given handouts by the US, which only 30 years earlier had finally got its act together....

Lady Ellen,
I take "whip snapping" that generates may or may not cause "bleedin" as a compliment!

I'm reminded of an old quote that I'm sure I'm paraphrasing. "Britain, USA - Two great cultures separated by a common language."

Point taken on the 150 years reference. It just seems that long.

Britains are too proud for handouts - they pay their debts no matter how much it hurts

Lady Ellen,
Sorry! I can't generate any false sense of animosity for something so trivial. Besides, I enjoy myself too much in a British Pub whether in the Churchill Arms in London (Am I right that it is the one that was in the Churchill family for many years that has all the pictures of the US Presidents and the British Royals?), or Hennessey's in Redondo Beach.

The OP was more of a shot at the USA drug cartel led by the Drug Companies, FDA, and AMA; than the UK or its men, however sensitive some of them may be to their plight. The Viagra news just pointed out how bound we are in the "colonies" to the whim of the cartel.

Examples are all around us, but it is only recently that women didn't have to physically go to an MD for a yeast infection cure. It wasn't for the safety of woman, it was to add a Doctor visit, and justify a higher cost for the medicine given as a prescription. Off the top of my head I can think of countless other pragmatic "cures" for things ranging from childhood ear infections, to diarrhea that are kept behind the counter just because the drug company hasn't made enough money from the prescription form of the drug. All with the undying support of the AMA. The result is a line at the borders of Mexico and Canada of USA citizens walking in to Mexican and Canadian to get these drugs without needing to see a Doctor.

LadyEllen -> RE: London men on the rise. (2/12/2007 10:32:32 AM)

Mercnbeth - only jokin' OK? I just need some excitement in my life today is all. Spent the day running the trucks and it all went off without incident, which is very unusual!

TGD - nudie pics of my feet? You hobbits are all the same arent you!? I'll see what I can do, but I'll have to warn you, theyre not very hairy. The ongoing fungus and verruca treatments strip the hair off you see.

Fascinating. We'll cope.
