My husband and I are new to the lifestyle and this site. We have been busy trying to educate ourselves about this lifestyle. Any advice or suggestions are welcomed.

Hi. Sometimes it can seem like there is an overwhelming amount of information here...and there is. Most topics you might be interested in have probably been discussed fairly thoroughly, so spending time thinking of specific questions and then looking in the archives is a good idea. I've posted a couple of questions and gotten laughed half off the boards -- in a *good* way lol -- for not realizing that I could have looked up the information. I haven't yet figured out how to handle interations on the message boards. There is a core group of users who have either been here a long time or who spend a lot of hours here and who, naturally enough, enjoy talking with each other and aren't terribly eager to hear from new people. Sort of like moving to a new school when you're a kid. However, I've found that a sincere question or comment generally finds a sincere and helpful response -- even of that response is "get over yourself!"

If you are very new to the lifestyle, there are some good books you might look at, too. I've seen threads here with some great recommendations and would be happy to help you uncover those, if you like.

Above all, have fun, and welcome.
