SCDommie -> Thanks Collarme! (2/5/2007 9:43:08 AM)

Thank you for removing that horrible post.  I grew up in the South, and we have tried to move forward without that kind of talk on a message board.  It is simply not appreciated by myself.  I want to thank you once more for taking it down.

It was my pleasure, believe me.

bearincuffs -> RE: Thanks Collarme! (2/5/2007 9:46:13 AM)

And I wish to say thank you also.

onestandingstill -> RE: Thanks Collarme! (2/5/2007 9:49:11 AM)

Dang, I must have missed something pretty bad to have a thread thanking them for removing another.

LadyMarmalade1 -> RE: Thanks Collarme! (2/5/2007 9:50:51 AM)

I thank you too.  I was shocked reading it, that it would go on so long.

Moderators are not always online. We do try to catch things as fast as we can.

Rule -> RE: Thanks Collarme! (2/5/2007 9:53:18 AM)

It was so very boring.

newsubseeking61 -> RE: Thanks Collarme! (2/5/2007 9:53:56 AM)

Yes. It was awful. While I believe in free speech, people should not be permitted to spew hatred like that. It achieves nothing but to inflame others. There are way too many opportunities in this world for people to hurt one another. When we have the chance to stop that hurt....we should.

Thank you for removing it.

Good job, Mod13.  Is it possible that people who post something clearly meant to be offensive will face some sort of CM sanction?

Either way, as a frequent Mod critic, let me say:  Good job, and thanks for doing it.

LadyMarmalade1 -> RE: Thanks Collarme! (2/5/2007 9:55:12 AM)

I meant I was shocked so many people continued commenting on the thread, thus keeping it alive.

SirDiscipliner69 -> RE: Thanks Collarme! (2/5/2007 9:57:36 AM)

I tried to get people to change the subject line when responding but I think too many got caught up.

Not unlike this thread where most of us don't have a clue what you are talking about.

In short, yes. They will be dealt with.

rascallymisty -> RE: Thanks Collarme! (2/5/2007 9:59:35 AM)

I agree LM and thanks mod 13.

BBBTBW -> RE: Thanks Collarme! (2/5/2007 9:59:47 AM)

To no one in particular.

Honestly, other than the title, the child that originally posted and his on going posts, I felt it was a very informative and interesting thread.  It allowed some of us to vent our OUTRAGE at the mindset of some people, it showed us the true colors of others and it allowed still others to be at their most humorous (offensive or not).  I am not a proponent for censorship but there are some things that are just outright idiotic and the Original Post was just that as well as his subsequent posts.  But it was really nice to find out the real "colors" of some people.  I am one that tends not to see skin color until someone shows me theirs and I have to say I only saw 3 people that showed theirs. What was it 11 pages?  I think it showed a pretty accurate representation of how the world in general views skin color and cultures.

I appreciate the Kudos, however I think it is time to close this thread thus ending the disruption.
