You guys Suck!  -9 when I woke up...But it's much warmer by the lake front....When does CA fall into the ocean...Illinois revenge!

When the day comes and CA, or the South Bay of LA specifically, falls into the ocean; I'd STILL rather be here, and have been out here, for the past 5 years versus Chicago. Chicago - where "summer" (or a common February 4th day on the South Bay) comes between 11:00 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. on August 2nd every other year.

beth commented that my last few post, especially while she was away, was giving the impression that I was much too sensitive. I just wanted to show my sadistic side is still very active. It was a tad too warm yesterday; I actually got a little red tinge to the skin from BBQing out by the pool, and beth had to cover up with 45 sunscreen.

Does this make me eligible to declare I have on-line experience?

btw- D.G, only one of us actually "sucks"; the other is mostly licks - so there! HA!

Last check it was -16f wind chill. I'm staying in bed 'til spring. Literally. Jeez I can't wait to move to Austin.

Windchill of -5 degrees this morning in Boston

luckily, my heat/hot water and all that is included in the rent... Just the apartment is so incredibly dry... I'm peeling all over

however, days like this, I miss living in the suburbs/driving to work... I just don't miss the other headaches of car ownership.  Normally, I love the city! I walk to work. Today? Well it was a double scarf day -- one over my face so as not to breathe in the icey air, and another to keep the hood on my head so it doesn't blow off walking past the wind tunnel known as the John Hancock tower.... lol

I've got just a slight vent from a pedestrian... please on cold days like this, drivers do try to be more considerate to us pedestrians, especially the ones walking in crosswalks/staying on sidewalks (and walking past garages) and generally obeying the law... I know you are in a hurry to get to work, we all are, but, don't run the red lights/pedestrian cross lights, please come out of garages more gingerly, and please use turn signals so we know where you are going so we don't stand on the corner guessing where you are going only to find out we could've crossed. Pedestrians are freezing to death while you sit in your heated car   Besides being cold and wanting to get where we are going probably twice as much as you, we also might have a hard time seeing because of all the gear we have on and had to take off our glasses because they were fogging up in the icey air... thanks for letting me vent... off my soap box now... looking forward to the walk home... ha!

Yeah, well... you know why California is just like Kellogg's Just Right cereal?

Because when you remove the fruits and nuts, you still have the flakes! ...
