a friend & i were talking about this global warming and well in our area we have had no snow accumulation as of yet [boston] but, to my surprise, this winter at least, is not to be blamed on global warming and heres "why":

so she took a natural disaster course... the teacher was talking about the multiple volcano erruptions that caused The Tsunami [you know the one] and well apparently, also caused by these erruptions was a larger than usual release of greenhouse gasses, and while they may be trapped longer than usual due to the G-W - it is expected to pass in a few years, and is not a *direct* result of GW

i have not done any looking into it myself, but so far all the information that comes out of her mouth is double checked prior.

I haven't done any research myself either, but I would have to concur. Lack of snow this year is definitely not a good thing. Although I just spent the last 3 hours playing drinking games and watching it snow like hell (Framingham area). I'm sure you've noticed the same. Driving home was pretty interesting... saw one minivan skidded way off track, and one minor fender bender. Luckily no major accidents that I know of thus far. Gotta love New England.

I'm assuming you mean the 12-26-04 tsunami in the Indian Ocean. It was not caused by a volcanic eruption and therefore did not release greenhouse gases.

hmm well then - were there volcanic erruptions as a result of the earth quake? hmm i could be a lil off on the exact facts [dammit] i will call her up in the morn

Just read that Jan I think 1906 was warmer than Jan 2007, I presume though the article didnt say, in the UK.

How can that be then ?

Starts making his indoor green house non the less,
planting a lime tree for the hell of it.

ever think that the green house effect could cause more condensation, and humidity to build.
their by increasing cloud cover.

And to what point may be the cooling of the oceans main current.
As that cools perhaps all the warmth it brings is dissipated, and with that another little ice age is on the way.

If this be the cause then I would assume as the water is released into the atmosphere the tension released would cause minor palatial shifts.
Perhaps more cooling in volcanic regions under the ocean would as well force pressure to different regional settings.
Not to mention of pressure caused from the removal of oil Fields under this deep ocean can as well cause earth quakes.

Funny that.

Sure I can show moments proving all this.
However I wouldn't bet my life on it.
All in all we don't really know what can of worms
we may have opened.

I say brace for impact and hope a nice warm meteor comes before the impending black hole or nuclear war.

Does any one think I made any sense at all?

The Pacific Northwest has had a colder winter than normal and some very bizarre weather, no global warming here.
