griffn -> legal trouble with DAC services (2/2/2007 4:40:04 PM)

So I am asking every were I can including here so that I may get more info from other truck drivers that may have some insight on DAC services. I'd like to know if there has ever been any legal action taken against them and if  I have a case against them? It seems that they transposed my ss# which has prevented me from getting a job. According to the perspective employer DAC say's I rolled a truck in Indianan. In fucking possible! I was in Florida my logbook was legal and I was a company driver with a qualcom. So I'm just asking here because the more information I can gather before I go to a lawyer the better

DAC is an overbearing monopoly that has fucked up more drivers lives than anything else since they have been in business.

There is a process to make an entry into your record at DAC disputing the information they have on file.  I haven't done it myself but it is relatively painless process according to the research I've done, though it does take awhile.  That sucks with your current situation, but will help prevent any problems in the future.  After disputing the current record, get yourself a copy of your report to make sure that your response and the changes show.  From what I understand, they are required to show your side of the story and/or change your record with verifiable proof that they are wrong.  If they don't make the changes, you bet you have a case!

IMO, a few hundred drivers need to get together for a class action suit and shut the assholes down.
