ORIGINAL: Rule Also - and these are my suggestions: limit yourself to two or three meals per day. Do not eat anything in between. Do not eat snacks. Do not eat after 20:00 o'clock (that one is from Oprah). I would tend to disagree with this. If you eat less, your body starts to assume that it may not be getting more food soon, so it goes into "famine" mode and saves the food up (stores as fat). Everything that I've seen is to shrink the size of your 3 'normal' meals into 5 meals (2 of them being little more than snacks, but heck - that's about what most people have for breakfast or lunch, a snack). Then again, most weight loss plans also suggest that you combine diet adjustment with increased activity. The reasoning behind the 5 meals is that your body will go into "feast" mode, assuming that there is plenty of food and that there is no reason to save any of it, keeping you from gaining more than a relatively small amount of weight over a period of time. The most important thing is to increase your activity level.
