Having just joined, filled my profile with all my genuine details ... searched and sent messages with details, interests sexual and non sexual, to over 20 likemined people for chat/social/onfo about Munches, play etc in West Yorks/Lancs ..... only ONE reply!! Why, Why dont people reply? it doesn't take a second and it is bad manners. [image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m19.gif[/image] Am on another site and soooo different. Does anyone else have this problem?

Do you reply to all the unsolicited mail that you get at your house? Do you contact each and every person or company that sends you a flier, catalog or letter? It's not bad manners, you just have unrealistic expectations of internet interactions. When our house first signed up on this sight, we had the unrealistic expectation that people would actually read our profiles before contacting us. We got over it; if someone from the other side contacts me without reading my profile, they will rarely get a reply and if they do it is just because I wish to toy with them and exercise my sadistic streak. Either L or myself reply to each and every initial piece of mail we receive, including the ones that don't deserve a response. L also replied to every piece of mail she received back when she was single. It is a chore, but it is only polite to do so. This is not junk mail that we are getting, and virtually everyone that writes has read our profile if not the full journal. I would have to classify the rare form letter we get with the snailmail equivalent of junk mail, but even those get a standard, short reply. Look at the bright side, the ones that don't respond are doing you a favor, as they obviously don't hold the same values that you do. If they are too lazy, inconsiderate, and have the overall lack of respect to respond to you, you certainly don't want to associate with them to begin with.

Thank you for your answers, my messages were genuine with details sexual and non-sexual and definitely not one liners even a picture, Perhaps we men dont appreciate how many messages submissive females get. Messages from people on this site are not unsolicited mail as we do have somthing in common ie seeking friendship/fun within a bdsm lifestyle. I am a confident person and believe in fate,

And it is an assumption on your part that we are all seeking friendship, because our house is on this site but we are not seeking friendships. We come to the boards to read and post. From reading your profile i would see you as someone who is looking for a casual friends-with-benefits situation. There's nothing wrong with that. i don't know which 20 you sent messages to but if their profiles indicated they were looking for more of a relationship than you are prepared to offer, that may be why they didn't respond. i don't get more than a small handful of emails per week so i am able to respond with a "no thanks" or other polite response but i hear that some get literally hundreds of emails and it may take time to slog through them all.

Generally, I ignore e-mails with ANYTHING sexual in them. Why waste more of your time by sending you an e-mail to read when I don't want to get to know you? Maybe it works for some people, but I do not find it attractive when someone just lists out all their kinks right off the bat. It doesn't matter if our kinks are identical if we don't get along as people first. Y'know?

i try and reply to everyone. Even the ejits that email me. I replied to one ejit who asked "are you busy this weekend" and my reply was "i'm busy being pregnant until i drop in June" he responded with "would you like to be eaten out" When i feel like it, i will probably respond back with "maybe you need to go back to first grade, learn to read again, and then re read my profile" Or maybe i will just ask him how many clues i have to give him before he catches on.
