From the description of the show...."In order to win, the men must accede to the women's every command, 24/7, while building a new world. Here, women command and men obey. Over the series' duration, the men will be eliminated by the women until one last man is standing."

Maybe I've been sheltered or just not exposed to enough variety in workplaces but I can't think of one job I've ever worked at...with the exception of when I was with the 82nd...where the women followed every command issued by men.  I've yet to see a home environment where that held true either.  Now....maybe in a few D/s relationships...but then that was negotiated, right?

So in all actuality, they are setting up the show as a reverse of today's society but it is a distorted reverse...just like a funhouse mirror.  But how many women out there in America do you suppose will be watching it and saying to the T.V. screen (or thinking it to themselves) "Yeah!!!!  How do you guys like it when you get to see what it's like for us?" when in reality, for most of the women in the audience, it has never been that way.

I like the premise.. except for this "and each with an ax to grind".  This would play into the "sucessful women are basically coniving bitches" mentality.

There's another problem that takes away from the actual intent of the message of women ruling the world: What about a man, such as myself, who isn't in competition with other men, who wants to do everything possible to make sure the women are as happy as possible, but WITHOUT having to turn to vindictive and ulterior motives to undo every man around me? It's another one of those "one man left standing" shows that ends up being all about backstabbing, and if that's the "reality", I don't want to live in that world, even if all the women are in charge and dominant.

I think it sounds exciting!  ..At the beginning of episode one...You see that Ellen and Teri are no longer talking because Teri "borrowed" Ellen's sandals without asking first...While Teri is also on the outs with Bunny after snidely commenting that she could have made three bikinis out of the material it took for Bunny to make one.

Ellen is talking with no one after asking the other girls on the  Island  if she "looked fat in her sarong" and they all started laughing.

The men sensing that a total collapse of this "Twatty Town" is imminent have crafted a raft out of reeds...and after an arduous journey of  battling the Sea and the elements have successfully made it to Vegas just in time for the coin toss to start the Super Bowl.

Sounds rather boring.  And if it's supposed to be real, there is no way... "When women rule the world".... hmmmmm... i wonder if the femme nazis have anything to do with it.  Duh...

i personally am quite tired of the femme nazis and their 'We are the supreme being' crap.

La-dee-fricking-da. I work in reality tv and I refuse to admit that anyone out there still believes the shit is "real." I'm so tired of people dissing it just because it's "not real." Well of course it's not, you morons, it's on television! ;) If you want to watch real reality, get a closed cicuit camera installed in your house and sit there all day watching it. Pretty boring, huh? I'm not going to say that what I do is high art, nowhere close! But someone out there is watching it or we wouldn't be one of the highest rated shows on cable tv. And I'm just talking about the show I work on in particular. Despite that fact that reality shows are crap in most people's opinions (or at least so they say publicly) they pretty much dominate both the networks and cable these days. 

As for the original point of this thread, that show sounds kind of fun and I hope I get to catch an episode sometime.  Think we could have our own version of "The Bachelor"?  How about "The Slave" ?
