Personally.......I think the end of the Mayan calendar is going to make Y2K seem like just a bad hair day. You can bet a lot Top Ramen, bottled water and batteries will leave the shelves in the preceding weeks.

yes i ditto this. its all a religious thing for those who deal in undercurrents. Most of the population see it as the earth blowing up or something and that has no relevance.
Do a search for the asteroid Apothsis.
While the timing is not entirely correct, it is an odd coincidence...
