But perhaps you seek the little one.....

I am going to bet out there next door, they gotta be around places that do bonsai, maybe ask some of the gardeners thereabouts.

We used to call these Iced Tea Spoons, but I'm originally from the deep south where iced tea is served in very large glasses.

MsOpal -> RE: i have tried google///can you help (1/24/2007 10:32:27 AM)

I think you want a "soda" spoon.  You used them in ice cream sodas.  You can find them from time to time in specialty kitchen shops and in other places in the early summer, some are plastic some will be metal.  Try a Garden Ridge or World Market.

http://www.nextag.com/ice-cream-soda/search-html       go down a bit and there is  a set of 6

http://www.amazon.com/4-Piece-Ice-Cream-Soda-Spoon/dp/B00004RHOF   this set is toooo cute!!!

google "ice cream soda spoon"

can I come to your house for ice cream sodas???  (and btw, thanks, now I want an Egg Cream!)

WTF?
Do you pour the milk in and inhale the entire box of Cap'n Crunch at once?
Or is something wrong with your elbow?

How do you eat cereal from next door like that?

Got me curious.

LMAO ---- I grew up with iced tea in huge glasses, but our iced tea spoons were different from the ice cream soda spoons.  Now, you could, and often did, use an iced tea spoon for a soda spoon, but seldom visa vresa.  "Real"   "True" ice cream soda spoons have a slightly different shape, as they are intended to let you scoop up small bites if ice cream and iced tea spoons are designed for stirring.  Also, back in the day, many ice cream soda spoons were also straws ... the long handle was also a straw ... double duty!  I have some of all said spoons ... iced tea for stirring spoons, ice cream soda for nibbling then ice cream spoons and ice cream soda spoon-straws.  I am a grammaw and I ahve all the equipment.  Except I do not have a "Lite-doodle" (?), and I need one.

lmao, I knew I grew up spoiled and pampered, but who knew it was the soda spoons???  One of my fondest memories of a time long ago and a place far away is in the back yard patio of my grandparents home on a sultry summer day, laying under the big old pecan tree on the white reclining, rocking lounger with a Big Red and homemade vanilla ice cream soda in a tall chilled glass licking the sweet foam from the long straw-spoon just before I let the small scoop of rich-with-eggs creamy cold ice cream slide onto my eager tongue ...  oh, dear ... pardon me a moment ...

I like to browse yard sales, flea markets, thrift stores and have seen the odd thing here and there, the best thing is the price.  LOL
