of course, there's some that come along, everything seems to click, then they abruptly stop all communications without so much as a good-bye.

oh, well...life goes on.

I can't imagine clicking with anyone in that way, certainly not to the extent of thinking about them as a loss of any sort.

Unless I've been around someone for a pretty long time it wouldn't be possible for *everything* to click because it takes a LONG time for me to know someone and for someone to know me.

you ever think about the one that got away?

(The sub/slave...the Master or Mistress...someone that things seemed to click with that didn't go anywhere.)

Of course.

Little does she know...she's in my clutches...and I'll never let her get away...hahahahahahahahaha....

Oh, wait...that was supposed to be kept on the downlow....

(Never mind).

Yes, and after contemplating finding Him for a long while, this girl did and now couldn't be happier.  We mended fences, we found we'd grown out of the differences that'd made us part and now this girl couldn't be more content.  She realizes that for most there is a reason that the one that got away is just that, but for her it was much more of a "If you love something set it free and if it comes back....."

Everyone who has entered and left my life has left their mark.  However, I don't ever regret anyone or any actions (or inactions) that caused their loss.  They have all helped to form me into the person I am now.

And when I look in the mirror, I like that person!

There's never been one that got away.  There've only been the ones that I've sent along their way, save one...and He wasn't really mine to start with; I was just given the opportunity to borrow Him for awhile, to learn from, to love and be loved.

The ones I kicked to the curb, well...I don't mourn their loss at all.

I've had lots of broken relationships and it's usually been them who have ended it.
I was initially hurt.
But it didn't take long to realise that they weren't right for me anyway and the relief flooded in.
Now it takes me a lot longer to commit.
It's a bit like someone who is gay but celibate.
I am BDSM I just am not participating in the physical expression of it yet.
It's damned difficult at times but I am managing it until I find the right relationship/s.

Do I miss the one that got away?  Yes, until my heart is breaking.  I have f**cked up every relationship since.  I can not overcome the barrier between us because I lived and he did not.
