Is Ted One-hit-wonder Nugent still being an obnoxious dick weed? Is he capable of anything else?

If ever there was a poster boy for fatal hunting accidents, Ted's the man. Maybe Ted and Dick Cheney could get together for a bush party.

Z.

Well, I like Nugent's music for the most part, but he goes overboard with his mouth sometimes.... and Perry can kiss my ass. I have no use for Gov. Hairdo.

What the hell has Ted Nugent done in the past 20 years, besides playing the same old songs over and over.

He has been running the Ted Nugent Kamp for Kids, exposing kids to outdoor life, hunting, and living (http://tednugent.com/kamp/) .  He recently announced a new segment on his TV series, "Spirit of the Wild" which will feature women in the outdoors.  He has been advocating good parenting, as seen in the quote below.  Not sure what everyone's beef is with him...?

Quote from Ted:
Just like the scientists and medical community now admit, responsible
parenting begins in the womb. Nightly bedsongs, gentle readings, loving talk
from both parents and siblings, forms a prebirth bond that will most
certainly connect with this new life. It is never too early.

THERE IS NO GREATER RESPONSIBILITY THAN PARENTING! Period.

I like the fact that Ted is involved and informed about what is going on on our planet.  And while I like his outspokenness, I definitely don't share many of his views.

I don't share all of his views (but I do share some), but I certainly wouldn't call someone who is attempting at being an effective, contributing member of society a washed-up-has-been.  That term could apply to a lot of people, but not necessarily to Ted.

Now I'm running around my living room singing "It's a Free For All" while rockin' to my air guitar...

Now to defend Ted he has always stayed sober, which is unheard of in the hard rock world. Ted has had hunting shows on cable, I do not gives a rats ass about hunting but if Ted is on TV I will be watching. He has a popular line of Beef and Turkey Jerkey.

A tax shelter for his private hunting reserve is SO MUCH EASIER if it's a "Camp" to educate kids, isn't it? Imus ran the same scam with his ranch, too.

I wouldn't say that. Maybe these guys just can't get any PR unless they're on their way in/out of rehab?

I put Nugent in the same bin as Skynyrd. Used to be a fun time, back when they were doing interesting music.

Nowadays, I'll just go see Mule or Panic.

Im not surprised he did that. I went to concert of his a few years a go and he yelled racial remarks at the Asian people in the audience. He is definately different but people still love him.

Ted Nugent denies immigrant reference

Fri Jan 26, 2:10 PM ET

Ted Nugent has denied reports that he made offensive remarks about non-English speakers during his performance at Gov. Rick Perry's inaugural ball.

In a guest column in Thursday's Waco Tribune-Herald, Nugent said allegations made by some people who attended the Jan. 16 ball were "pure, unadulterated lies."

Nugent's editorial on the subject:

Freedom Rocks
by Ted Nugent
I am absolutely high on a hi-octane cocktail of freedom. liberty,
spirit, attitude, goodwill, defiance and positive energy. It is
delicious and oh so healthy for an uncontrollable American Dream......

You would think someone had a video or audio of the event.

If he never said it than his denial is genuine.

If he actually said it we will see him do it on utube.  At which point he will have that idiotic simpleton look that Monkeyboy gets when people ask him to clarify things he said last week which turn out to be complete fabrications.

I do not much care for Ted Nugent, he creeps me out. His stance on guns and his outdoorsmen thingy just seem a little too "Rambo" for me, and he has a big mouth too. It is nothing in particular I really dislike about him, it is just a general feeling of discomfort... he would be way damn too intense for me to enjoy spending time with. I knew people that shared a similar persona when I was growing up, the whole Soldier of Fortune magazine set... just doesn't do it for me
