I just heard the news about the conviction of the border patrol agents. Convicted for shooting an illegal drug dealer? Many of the few Bush supporters left are jumping ship. I have said for years, that BUSH loves illegal immigrants. He has done NOTHING to stop the flow and NOTHING to enforce the laws that are on the books. Of course I expect him to do NOTHING against illegal immigrants. <<wink wink>> then he would lose his good buddies that hire them in big business. This latest debacle is going to give him a popularity soon of about 10%. I am so glad I did not vote for him.

I'm torn. They were sworn officers in the field who apparently violated procedures, fired at a fleeing subject and covered it up. They also shot a drug smuggler in the ass on the border. How about commuting their sentences to community service?

I have heard about 3 versions of what happened. They both had excellent histories as border control agents and they don't seem like men that would just shoot someone for no reason. The case needs further investigation at the very least, I am glad to hear about the public outcrys.

They shoot a drug smuggler sneaking into the country and the idiots in the justice dept want to send them to jail? They should give them a medal and give them more target practice so they don't miss the next time! Dead drug pushers tell no tales. And those 20,000 Troops that Bush wants to send to Iraq would give us Taxpayers much more bang for our buck spread along that Mexican border. Bush should be impeached for not closing that Mexican border and for refusing to enforce our immigration laws. I hope the next President does those things plus really steps up the deportation rate.

Greetings..~smiles~ While I agree illegal immigration is bad situation all the way around..I hardly find comfort in making a statement of Bush being impeached for not solving the problem if you can't bother to include every president before him in that statement as well. Thanks to this administration they have atleast been trying to tackle the situation with different ideas since all current idea's have failed. Thanks to this administration we now have more cooperation with Mexico than ever before and are actually getting long wanted murderer's, smugglers, and the like extradicted to the US to face charges. Do you have some really brilliant plan that all other government agencys haven't figured out yet..I'd love to hear them Sir. Well Wishes starshine Happy slave of Master Delvin

We all know that closing the borders won't be happening any time soon. I have a radical idea! Why not enforce the laws that are on the books?? Isn't that radical? I hope those hispanic officiers are acquitted or at least given some sort of probation.

Given what we are fed via the media is all we have to go on to say yes to this or no to that as being a good move or not so good move. Honestly deep down inside it's all bad for all of us, and I don't just mean the illegal immigration. Give us alittle show to qwell us so that the next big push to remove your rights and freedoms can come to pass, and we willingly give it up for that elusive security. Can you secure us from a nuclear holocaust? When you can prove that to me it won't matter cause it will of already happened.
