Matter of curiosity and discussion...

How often do you (or your submissive) do the following things:

Vacuum
Wash the floors (linoleum, tile, etc)
Clean the shower
Wash the bath towels
Change/wash the sheets
Clean the windows
Wash the car
Other non-daily chores i may have forgotten?

If you go by "when it's dirty" or "when they start to smell", i'd be curious if you have an idea of what time frame that runs.

Please add as much demographic information as you feel comfortable with as a point of reference (i.e., housebound slave vs. bachelor college student)

Cheers,

...dave

I am a union longshoreman and a self-defense instructor.  I realized I can pay somebody to clean my place and make several hundred dollars working in the harbor, or spend my day off cleaning my apartment to save $65.

The numbers did not add up.

I dont wash my car.  It is a dock car.  I will be getting a new car in the next few months.  That one I will wash.

My lashing clothes get washed every year whether they need it or not.  Sometimes they are so nasty and greasy and stained and stinky that I have them get up and throw themselves out so I can start fresh.

By this time I was hoping I could answer this question, never because my unmentionable does them... but alas, it is hard enough just to get him to remove his dirty clothes from his room.

live alone and allergic to dust, so...
Vacuum every other week
Wash the floors when i remember (not as often, but perhaps once a month)
Clean the shower daily with shower spray afterwards, but serious scrubbing perhaps once a month
Wash the bath towels weekly
Change/wash the sheets weekly or every other, depends
Clean the windows twice a year
Wash the car probably once a year, but dust and vacuum inside maybe 4 times per year
Other non-daily chores i may have forgotten? laundry once or twice a week, wipe down kitchen counters, stove, sink, etc. once or twice a week, clean the bathrooms once a week.

When i was younger i was better at housekeeping, but it seems much harder at age 60, so don't do things as often as i used to.

Vacuum --a few times a week
Wash the floors (linoleum, tile, etc)--about once every 2 months
Clean the shower--spray with shower cleaner after each use
Wash the bath towels--once a week
Change/wash the sheets-about every two weeks
Clean the windows--maybe every two years
Wash the car --never in the winter because here it would only stay clean an hr.; in the summer maybe every 2-3 weeks, but do it at a car wash now

Vacuum- weekly
Wash the floors (linoleum, tile, etc)- weekly
Clean the shower- monthly
Wash the bath towels- when we run out (twice a month usually)
Change/wash the sheets- maybe twice a year
Clean the windows- monthly
Wash the car- maybe once a year
Other non-daily chores i may have forgotten?- As you may have noticed, we do a once a week clean-up of the apartment and a once a month serious overhaul.

Sheets are really something I never deal with or change unless they get stained or I need to change them due to the seasons.

Vacuum - 2x a week
Wash the floors (linoleum, tile, etc) - every weekend
Clean the shower - every weekend, but sometimes spray it down during the week
Wash the bath towels - do this every weekend
Change/wash the sheets - I am bedless at the moment so I luck out on that
Clean the windows - have never done that
Wash the car - thank god for rain

do laundry twice a week ... my dumpster is so so far away, so the trash only goes out on the weekend when I can drive it over there ... I am anal about a clean kitched and scrub it every other day ... the dishes build up in the dishwasher till I have a full load ... about once a week ... I'm married, but my hubbie's in Iraq for a long long time so I am a bit messier right now than I usually am since I have noone to get on my case ... hehe

Vacuum: Every day
Wash the floors (linoleum, tile, etc) Every 2nd or 3rd day
Clean the shower : Every week
Wash the bath towels  Every week (maybe more often sometimes)
Change/wash the sheets Twice a week.
Clean the windows: Some windows weekly, others once a month.
Wash the car : Master washes the car (mostly). The one I use doesn't get used that often, so when it needs it I guess.
Wash the walls: When needed.
Cooking: Everyday
Laundry: Every couple of days
Empty Trash: Everyday
Clean the Oil Burners: Every other day, they get really yuck from essential oils and they lose their fresh smell if I dont do that.
Dust and polish: Every other day
Clean off the home office desk completely: Once a week
Other non-daily chores i may have forgotten?

I'm a slave who also works (mostly from home).

Vacuum : Daughter does that 3 times a week (we have a dog)
Wash the floors (linoleum, tile, etc) Daily - these days, more often since it's been raining (we have a dog)
Clean the shower : Weekly
Wash the bath towels : 2 times a week
Change/wash the sheets once a week
Clean the windows um.... when they're dirty, but definitely in the spring and summer more often than that.
Wash the car : Well, I'll be better able to answer this one when it stops raining.

toilets: twice a week (I have sons)
Sinks: twice a week (I have children, for some reason, they can't seem to clean the toothpaste out of the sink after brushing their teeth. I seem to have lost my owner's manual when it comes to that, so I don't know if not doing that is in the fine print of their "thou shalt not drive mom crazy" contract.)
Laundry: at lease one load every day with 2-3 on Thursdays (the sheets, etc) more if I'm washing blankets and comforters.

Thank you to everyone for your input

i honestly never quite know how often these things should be done, and my wife isn't especially interested. i had a feeling that i needed to vacuum more often i keep trying to set up schedules for myself to get all these things done once a week, but somehow they never last for more than a week or two.

Cheers,

...dave

I pay someone else to clean everything and a lady friend does my laundry.

I cook when I'm entertaining friends, otherwise I lunch at a local cafe.

I really enjoy my work (I work for myself) so I think working extra and paying for someone to do the things I don't like to do is a good compromise.
