What does everyone think about the concept of synchronicity. Have you seen it at work in your own life? Have you had some amazing experiences with this concept? Or do you see occurences that happen that seemingly defy probablity as being outliers of chance? Does it matter as long as the person experiencing these outliers receives something from them that is meaningful?

If some people do think that it is all probablity and there is no real synchronicity with meaning in the world, and they express that feeling, please do not feel as though you do not want to share your experiences... I very much would love to hear them.

I have experienced plenty of synchronicity and know of such happening to others and have read credible testimonies. I will not discuss the miracles that I have as such experienced myself, my wishes being granted. I have come to realize, though, that these events occur by the Divine affecting our reality in an acausal way.

I think about it a lot, and I've experienced some pretty dramatic examples. By it's nature, it's kind of difficult to explain. The Electric KoolAid Acid Test examines the phenomona in context.

I've witnessed it taking the form of 'instant karma.'  Good times...

I have noticed that things I need to learn come at me over and over again from different sources, like a quote or a phrase... The one I have been hearing over and over again lately.. I would rather be happy than right. And I would

As a visual artist, I believe that finding 'meaning' in (possibly) random experience may be something that individual human consciousnesses do, more or less automatically--whether there is a larger, mystical synchronicity invovled, or not.

Good point, people tend to seek meaning, and reification in things, to see patterns in random occurances. It played a large role at one time in my life, when I lacked a sense of meaning and purpose in my life - not so much now - although I still like to get into that Mysto space, it's a very creative space for me.

That's ok, Julia, but I do enjoy your company around here anyway.  Besides, I don't want Sinergy getting jealous on me when we eventually run into each other at the Lair and you definitely don't want my wife mad at you.

Hey, you are certainly fun to trade barbs with in my book too! And I used to think you were insufferable! You are very sufferable...

I am somewhat of an Odinist, not completely with all their beliefs, but a good piece of it.

I have been told by Murphy himself that you make your own luck.

When I was young I would think nothing of pouring used motor oil into the ground, especially around a house where we wanted no plants. I don't do that anymore. My luck changed.

We are tied to this planet as surely as you were tied to Mommy before they cut the cord.

Now I will not postulize this, but simply detract from the negative.

To think something as large as the Earth could not have conciousness is a bit off. Teeming with all forms of life, just as our bodies, it may be alot more aware than we think. I do not intend to even attempt to prove it, but I can say this much. When you live within the laws of nature things go alot better.

When you think of yourself as part of the whole thing, things go better. That doesn't mean there aren't some people you don't like, of course there are. It doesn't change anything really, just your perspective.

And I don't change my oil anymore. I think I want the planet to like me.

..i concur. Humans are pattern seeking beings on the whole. Arguably religion itself is a symptom of this, an attempt to impose order on a random universe.
This in no way though denies the possibility that individuals will experience things that are easiest explained as miraculous, just that as imperfect observers we percieve things best as patterns.

Practice, lots of practice!
Plus you can "correct" by sliding your fingers for minor errors which is very common.

I'm not sure if this counts as synchronicity, but a good friend and I found that we almost always took mental health days, completley independenlty of each other, on the same days.

It was a good song by the Police.

No time to post today but will come back to this.  But now I have that song in my head so I had to share it.
